Volans is a sky raider who’s taken a hiatus from his thievery. He used to seek out travelers in mid air and take off with their goods. He’s been known to attack large packs of dragons and use his impeccable flying skills and agility to put them into a dangerous position, forcing them to relinquish their valuables. He built up quite a reputation and frequently had to run from Flight agents and bounty hunters, but always managed to shake them off. When the threat ran too high he decided to throw in the towel for a while and travel south, to the Icefield.

Volans currently resides at the Snowsquall Outpost. The dragons of the arctics aren’t familiar with him so he can go about his day with little risk of being exposed. He keeps to himself but is always eager for news from the mainland. The arrival of Astatine, a well known Lightning imperial agent, caused him concern. After approaching her tentatively he learned that she was on a mission to catch a different vagrant, which assuaded his worries somewhat. He remains a little on edge however, as she might yet recognise him.

This rogue imperial is self assured, patient and wary. He’s used to a solitary lifestyle and doesn’t engage with others too much. When he’s not out hunting or gathering wood he hangs out at the outpost’s bar, where he’s struck up a kind of friendship with Serra. When things get too rowdy for her to handle, she’ll have Volans step in and sort out the troublemakers.
