Fayrn once had a mate, a guardian female who he refer to as the Painted Lady. She was from the neighbouring flight shadow and the two had grown up together. During their young and stupid days they believed that they would be together forever, however fate would prove them wrong.

Shortly after the pairs first nest was hatched the Painted Lady announced that she would be leaving her homelands. She had started feeling restless and realised that her Search was calling her. Her Charge was waiting for her, somewhere out there. And she had to go find it. Fayrn was devistated, but deep down he had always known that this day would come. He knew guardians would not settle until they had found their Charge and he wasn't hers. They said their goodbyes and he never heard from her again.

Left alone with his newborn children, he did as best he could to raise them by himself. Being an imperial ment he had little knowledge of his childrens needs. The clan he lived in did luckily have a guardian male living with them and he helped Fayrn raise his three children as best he could. The small hatchlings grew quickly and before he knew it they were all grown up. His heart felt full everytime he looked at his dear children, knowing their mother would be as proud of them as he was.

Then came the day. The day which he had feared since the moment he had watched them hatch. The day his children told him it was their time to leave. They too had felt the string of fate pull at their hearts. Their Search would beguin soon. They promised to send him letters whenever they could, fully intending on keeping their contact with their father. He had bid them safe travels, given them one last hug and watched them walk out of his life. He only hoped that he had done enough to prepare them for the challanges that awaited them in life. But compared to when his mate left, this time he was left feeling content. He knew that their lives were theirs to live and he had his own life here in the clan.

His firstborn, a daughter, traveled to the The Windswept Plateau where she joined the forces of the Windsinger. Her Charge had turned out to be a bamboo forest near the boarder to The Scarred Wasteland and thus she now trained herself in combat in order to defend it. She felt happy knowing she had found what she was searching for.

His secondborn, a son, still traveled the world in search of his Charge. Last time he heard from him he had just arrived in a new land, the letter having been sent from a clan in Starfall Isles. He told his father that he felt like he was getting closer to where he was ment to be. Fayrn prays for his son's journey to end soon.

His lastborn, a daughter, has found a home in the lands of The Shifting Expanse. Her Charge had turned out to be a dragon. A mirror male named Raijin. Both of them now worked for a company in the The Lightning Farm where they helped repair machines. She also told him stories about his grandchildren from time to time.

Fayrn had started to look for a new life himself and had found employment as an aid for the heir of a noble imperial lineage. Their family tree reached as far back as the time of the First Light in which Lightweaver first created them. Fayrn felt happy with his new role, serving a purpose and knowing that his young master would not leave him.

But the peaceful days came to an abrubt end when conflicts between Nature and Plague started in the boarderlands. Brolach was still very young and knew nothing about the world but was sent away by his family, to protect him from the coming war. Fayrn followed him and the two made their way to the Sunbeam Ruins. They were ment to stay with relatives of Brolach parents, but as luck would have it the relatives wanted nothing to do with Brolach. They turned him away at the gates and told him to go home, not wanting to bother with the conflicts of other flights.

Hurt and scared Brolach had clung to Fayrn like a newborn hatchling as the duo continued to travel the coastline in search of a place to rest. They stumbled on a group of explorers that was in the process of excavating an old ruin in search of something. They offered the two tired imperials a warm meal and a bed for the night, more than willing to share what they had. It turned out to be the a group of dragons that came from a clan living in the Souther Icefields, in the frozen lands of the Fortress of Ends. They exchanged stories during the evening and Fayrn told them their story about how the two of them had traveled for so long and how they now had nowhere to go. The leader of the group, a skydancer called Lilaze, offered them to stay for as long as they wanted. And she also offered them to join them on their way back to their clan lair when the time came. They already had another dragon that had joined them from another region after all. What would one or two more be?

Fayrn thought long and hard about their situation and about Lilaze's offer. The Southern Icefields was unknown lands to him, so far from his birthplace. However, maybe it would be the safest place to be for the young heir during the conflicts that ranged back home. He decided to take the skydancer up on her offer and the two of them joined the small group. But fate would once more have a surprise waiting for them.

The other dragon that the explorers had adopted into their group was a young imperial female named Hydrangea. She too was from a noble lineage. However, she was from Plague. Fayrn had been very hostile towards her during their first meeting but soon realised that she was just like Brolach. Young, scared, alone in an unfamiliar land. But she was no-one to turn to. She was all alone. He realised how wrong he had been and apolagised to the young female. She forgave him quickli with a smile and Fayrn realised that he now would have another young mistress to protect.

During the months that followed he got to know the group of dragons that had accepted them. Lilaze turned out to be the leader of the clanof Winter's Bay. She had left her home in good hands with her mate as she and some of her clanmates traveled here on a quest to find a magical item long lost.
Syrena, a mysterious dragon woth multiple arms that spoke on tounges from time to time, was a seer that was the one who led the search. The item they was looking for once belonged to "her" as she had put it. Fayrn didn't ask what that ment.

Fayrn also got to know Tia. Tia was the messenger of the group, the one in charge of keeping track of letters and news given to the group during their stay abroad. She was always surrounded by messenger birds. Ravens would sit on her horns as she red the latest report from back home. She was originaly from the The Twisting Crescendo but had moved to the Fortress of Ends with her father at a young age. Her father was born there and had intended to serve Icewarden together with his daughter, but she had fallen in love with the town they had arrived in and decided to stay there.

She had a habit of singing while she worked, a gentle and soothing voice that reminded Fayrn of the birdsong back home. Her gentle nature and calming personality drew him to her and he soon found himself seeking out her company any chanse he got. Brolach and Hydrangea spent most of their time together and didn't want Fayrn hanging over their shoulder so instead he often went to the messanger post to talk with Tia.

She looked very pretty in his eyes, full of life and energy. She seemed to be as young and fresh as a spring flower despite being older than himself, if but only by a few months. She brought back something into his life that he had missed, someone that stood on even ground as him. An equal that he didn't have to look out for or protect, but someome that could walk beside him. He came to the realisation that he had fallen for her by the time the ship was on it's way back to the Fortress of Ends.

WIP
Since Fayrn is a nature dragon he has a hard time adapting to the cold climate of the Fortress of Ends, especially since there has been an increased amount of blizzards as of late. In the beguining this wasn't such a big deal since he could stay inside the Clan's fortress and keep himself warm in the Green House. However, since he is such a big dragon he soon started to feel uncomfortable and caged. He wanted to spend more time outside to stretch out his large body. With the help of Solace he managed to find a spell that made the nature energy inside his veins to temporary go into a hibernation of sort, like how a tree goes to sleep during winter. This way his body could finally acclimate itself to the cold. But the spell came at a price, all his magic abilities connected to his birth flight's energy also got "frozen" so he can no longer use them. This doesn't bother him much though, since he never cared much for growing plants anyways.

He now lives with Tia in the village, their house close to the messanger center. The two of them are very happy together and are talking about maybe starting a family together.
