Personality ✦Antares has a personality like a meat cleaver; Big and Sharp! Though he has a delicate look, Antares has a wicked sense of humor, much to the chagrin of Betelgeuse, his grumpy teammate, and to the delight of his fellow idiot, Vega. ✦Wickedly smart, despite his tendency toward idiocy when paired with certain other dragons in the lair. ✦ Definitely a flirt, and not afraid for other to know it. Though only interested in female dragons, he has been been known to make a drake or two blush with the things he will say or do. Early Life
Antares was raised smack in the middle of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, in the heart of the Leviathan trench. His parents made their home on the cusp of the trench, and were just two of the many that braved, and in turn, lost their lives, to the trench. Antares spent the early years of his adulthood fending for himself, getting stronger, and taking comfort in the fact that he and the other orphaned dragonlings were part of a strong collective. Eventually, his curiosity about the surface he had never seen before got the best of him, and he bid the others goodbye to sate his wanderlust.
After emerging from the constantly moving waters he had known his whole life and taking his first breath of fresh air, Antares glimpsed the night sky and the bright star for which he was named. His dark, shimmering scales and dark mane mirrored the blackness around him, and not for the first time but for the first time in a long while, Antares felt small. After a few moments of pondering life and all the mysteries within, the drake set off into the sky, exploring far and wide. Eventually, as almost all dragons in Shadowfall clan do, Antares found himself adopted by an endearingly matronly gaurdian, and happily joined the ranks of Branka's clan. |

Current
Antares has, along with the other warriors, eked out a living for the good of their clan in the heart of the land of Shadow. Antares uses his gift of prophecy for the good of the clan, as well as his fusion magical-martial arts fighting to keep the peace. He and Vega are also known to train up others in The Mire for the good of the clan, as well as for personal gain. You see, he is terribly vain and a bit of a show off, and is terribly deadly both with claw and spell. The drake now has more friends and a bigger family than he could have ever hoped for had he never left the trench, and spends a great amount of his time getting into mischeif with all of them. Antares has remained a dragon that is hard to tie down, in some ways. Though he has been known to romance a dragoness (or four) he has yet to find a mate that complements his transitory nature. He is a terrible flirt, and has many of the clan's single dragonesses in a tizzy and competing for his affections. None have managed to keep his attention for more than a season, and none dazzle him forever. Mal is the closest thing to a mate he has, but has on more than one occasion indicated that she is disinterested in any kind of relationshiop with him beyond being close friends. |

Known ladies' drake. He's pretty and he knows it. Has been known to stay out in The Mire with Vega for days at a time. Likes to occasionally pal around with Mal to explore the Starwood Strand for days and days at a time. As one might guess, he is an excellent swimmer, and is graced with the gills that the good tidelord gave him. All of those swimming muscles transfer extremely well into flight, which makes him a holy living terror in battle. When he and Trouble pal around, terrible chaos ensues. The two spirals work the rest of the mages up into a tizzy, even worse if they manage to get Mal envolved. |
