ROZETA
The first Glass Walker

When she walks, she's accompanied by soft crinkling and a myriad of colorful gleams. But don't get fooled by her delicate appearance.

Rozeta is what you get when you put an ambitious arcane wizard and a fire glassmaker looking to make quick buck together.

A special type of glass was found to be an unusually good magical conductor. And it wasn't that expensive to make. They leapt at the opportunity. They made a golem.

She was silent. She didn't move much, but did what they asked. She wasn't supposed to be intelligent.

But turns out that when you have a material that conducts magic well enough, the omnipresent magic eventually makes it... sentient.

Unaware, not too long after creating her, they made a second golem.

He was different, better.

But not good enough for them. They wanted to break him down again. So they could make another one.

She didn't let them.

She wouldn't let anyone hurt him.

When Rozeta and Vitral left, there wasn't any evidence the two inventors ever existed, apart from two unusually iron-rich patches of ground in the Everbloom Gardens. A particulary observant gardener might've noticed that the flowers that grew there were... odd.

Two golems from a peculiar material, wandering around the world. Never stopping for too long. Never having to rest.

The first two Glass Walkers.

Golems made entirely out of glass. What good things can that bring? They must be extremely easy to break.

That assumption would be wrong. Thanks to the fact that the glass has magic constantly flowing through it, it's become unbelievably sturdy, matching the durability of steel.

Glass Walkers function purely on the environment's magic. They don't need any food or water, but probably would cease functioning rather quickly, should the environment be deprived of magic. Thankfully, Sornieth's atmosphere is so chock-full of magic, this isn't something that could threaten them by accident.

While Glass Walkers don't have their own magic (apart a tiny amount that settles in their eyes when they're created), they're incredibly adept at channeling magic around them. Are you in a lab full of equipment running on lightning magic? You might very well get zapped. Thanks to Sonrieth's nature, this means that they have practically unlimited access to power they can tap onto, if they know how to handle it.

They also have the ability to break their wings into their segments and control each of the shards separately, which can get used both as a breathtaking display of beauty and a deadly collection of weapons.

She watches you intently as you chat with Vitral.
No, she doesn't just watch. She looms.

The message is clear, without her saying a single word:
If you hurt him, you will die.

Misconception about her is that she can't speak. She absolutely can, she just doesn't want to do it. Vitral can usually speak for her anyways. Rather, she observes and records each new dragon they meet. She's excellent at that. Good lord, she remembers everything.

She's not very trusting, and that would be hard to recognize, considering her lack of body language or expressions, but... She seems to radiate her mood. If you had a device that's good enough, you could probably measure her mood according to the values of magic around her.

She might be suspicious of nearly everyone, but she handles her emotions with cold calmness rarely seen with anyone. She'll gauge the situation. She'll decide what's the best course of action.

And if she thinks it's needed, she will leap at you with the intention to kill in a fraction of a second.
