Biography

"Riddle, true to his name, was something of a puzzle to the rest of the clan. He'd joined up alongside the much more friendly and gregarious Urano, who'd promptly signed on with the Trench Corsairs for an adventurous life of piracy. Riddle, however, had taken to haunting the lair like a ghost, rarely speaking to other dragons; in fact, he barely spoke at all, except to murmur nonsensical-sounding phrases to himself as if they were great philosophical truths he was ruminating over. Some might have thought he was ruminating over prophecies, but this was shortly after the Tidelord's disappearance, and no one was prophesying much of anything. One day, Deity, who had felt the Tidelord's loss more keenly than anyone else in the lair besides Lunea, finally asked him directly - since no one was receiving any prophecies since the Tidefather had vanished, what exactly was he mumbling to himself?

"Riddle had looked at him as if he were insane. "Tidefather vanished? Preposterous," he muttered. "I can hear him perfectly well."

"The rest of the clan quickly reached a conclusion: either Riddle was orders of magnitude more powerful than any other oracle on Sornieth, or he was completely out of his well."
