Marceau was born into the Masks. As a pup she was mentored and molded to fascinate. Some practiced slight of hand "magic" while others wrote poetry to recite for dignitaries. At a young age Marceau was recognized for her acrobatic skill.

She could dance hypnotically or contort bizarrely. Sometimes she would perform events as a living statue, remaining stone still as befuddled partygoers try to push or poke her. It was a lonely job. A dull one.

At a routine event, a flash of color bumped into her and ruined her stoic composure. A Bright?! Was she trying to start a fight here? They quickly skedaddled out of sight so the two warring troupes wouldn't catch the interaction.

While hiding away, Marceau realized that the Skydancer didn't at all live up to the reputation that the Brights had among her clan. She found herself actually enjoying herself for the first time in a long time, and it made her heart ache that the chance encounter would be over by the end of the night. The combined stubbornness of the two dragons however, was too strong for that.

Marceau grew up seeing what happened to deserters, but that wouldn't stop her from biding her time and planning her rendezvous with her love. Under a cover of darkness she slipped away, as silent as she had ever been.
