Scion
“Plants are just like animals. Except nicer... and better smelling... and more polite... and better conversationalists...”
Thoughtful/Worrysome
(Aquarius) A
Clan Role(s): Gardener
Mate: Moonkin
Adopted Parents: None; too old

Name meaning: Plants
Pronunciation: S-k-I-on

Violetta and Scion are twins and are as close as can be. They love to sit in the shade of a big willow tree and study bugs. The pair loves Chrysanthemum and Sandraline and idol them above all other dragons. Whereas his twin loves to soar the skies, Scion is content sitting on the ground and smelling the flowers. He is terrified of bees, but loves any kind of flower. As soon as Scion saw the variety of plants in the Wind clan, he fell in love and has been building a garden ever since. Scion and his sister are not really outgoing, although Violetta is more talkative, and both are content within the company of each other for weeks on end. Scion has a huge green thumb and can grow anything, even half dead plants.
Though he and his twin are royalty, Scion shows no sign of changing the way he lives to reap the benefits of such a position; he is content with his plants.
Shortly after learning of his heritage, Scion ran into Moonkin who was looking for a plant she could tend to. After it died within a day, Moonkin returned and begged Scion to help her take care of the plant. Begrudgingly, Scion agreed and Moonkin returned everyday with a new plant she had found that she was curious about or a story from her childhood involving plants. At first, Moonkin's persistence annoyed Scion and he frequently mumbled at her and told her to shut up. Eventually, however, Scion found himself drawn to Moonkin and missed her company greatly when she was away. After apologizing numerous times for the words he had said, Scion realized that he feared the emotions he was having for Moonkin. Scared, Scion told her that he didn't want to see her again and tried to convince himself that he did the right thing. Finally, after nights of heartbroken tears, Scion left his plants and approached Moonkin's workshop where he was greeted with a pipe to the face.
"Oh my Windsinger!' Cried Moonkin, "I'm so sorry,I thought you were this annoying dragon that keeps coming by to make me marry him and I really didn't mean to hurt you, is your face alright? I am so sorry." She paused when Scion looked up at her and laughed softly. "I guess I deserved that." He said, and accepted Moonkin's help. On his feet, everything seemed blurry and out of focus, but Scion spoke anyway. "Look, Moonkin. I... I guess what I'm trying to say is..." Scion sighed. "I'm sorry." He said, his head bowed. Moonkin came into his view and looked at him from her shorter stance. She smiled. "I know." Was all she said and she got up to hug him.
Now, Moonkin and Scion are mates, frequently running between eachother's places for either plants or spare parts. And as soon as Scion and Moonkin mated, the mysterious dragon hoping for Moonkin's hand in marriage, disappeared.
