Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this dissapointed dragon wandered a little too far from his home lair (SomberSoul, #288132), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

cynical / bitter / exalt runaway seeking power and an army to lead

STORY:
"So you wanted to get rid of me?!", he muttered to himself. "Wanted to send me off like a creature of the lowest worth?", he kept on. "Like hell I would let you. I'll prove myself as a proud Plague. I'll gather minions to serve under me and return as a proud leader, one that'll take over the Clan!"
And so he wandered the Sornieth, looking for other dragons on the loose, those lonely, those looking for a new order, those looking for someone to lead them. Those looking for power. He will give it to them, in time. First, they must all gather, for power comes from numbers.

I don't trust anything
Or anyone, below the Sun
And I don't feel anything
At all

King Of The Clouds; Panic! at the Disco

"This is the face of a real leader
This is the face of your savior
I am the face of a true god"

When Midori first came to the clan, formerly known as 'CentralStarWave' he was desperate. He needed a place to stay, and a dragon armada to command. Of course, he didn't mention that last part, only that he was a simple traveler looking for a place to stay. Now, to fully understand why such a dragon would be wandering, a look to his past is required.

Midori was raised as an only child. His siblings all died soon after hatching, and his father went to war not long after that. He was left alone with his mother, Kameyo, a strict wicked dragon with little care for her unwanted son. Yet Midori kept going and fighting for his mother's love. She grew fond of the young imperial over time, impressed by his determination. Kameyo had many other children with many other dragons, but Midori stood out for his stubborn attitude with a hint of cruelty to rival his mother. She raised him to be just like her, and he fit the role with perfection.

Then, the day came. All his mothers love and careful molding couldn't help, he was going to be kicked from the clan. There had been talk of the sly young Imperial overthrowing the clan leader, and taking control of the clan as an army of his own. No dragon wanted this, not even Midori's own mother. They were happy as is, and so Midori was tossed out into the real world. Needless to say, he was furious. He traveled the land, desperate for a new home where he could fulfill his dream of becoming a true leader.

After a few years of hopping between clans, Midori found himself in the midst of Plague territories. He had been praying day and night for a sign or some sort of help, so he could finally become a king. It came one sweltering day, in the form of an old brittle Coatl. The dragon seemed of no significance to Midori, but the elderly Coatl walked up to him with no hesitation. "Your prayers have been heard." the Coatl rasped, eyes cloaked by a hood. "You will become a god.
It is your destiny."
And with that, the Coatl removed his hood to reveal a face covered in pustules and many milky green eyes piled atop one another that shimmered in the bright light. As Midori took this all in, he felt a power fill his talons, and as he reached forward to touch the Coatl in front of him to give him thanks, the old dragon puffed into dust.

This was the turning point in Midori's life. He swiftly learned that he had been granted with odd powers, that allowed him to drain the life from other living beings leaving them as shrivelled black corpses, or sometimes even turning them into dust. Midori began his search for a clan again, but with these newfound powers, knowing that if any dragon got in his way they would be... dealt with. Yet, the first clan he found put up no resistance. It was a clan formerly known as CentralStarWave, who had found themselves in quite the predicament. Their three leaders, and many of the clan members who'd been brought with the leaders were planning to leave. The clan was stable and needed no more help, so they were ready to set off and find a new clan to lead. Unfortunately, they weren't sure who could lead this clan in their absence.

Luckily, like an angel sent by Plaguebringer, Midori showed up to the clan. The dragons were enamored. The massive Imperial had sharp glowing eyes, and a confidence like they'd never seen, and it quickly became apparent that he was a natural born leader. So, despite not knowing much about him, it was agreed that Midori would become the new leader of the clan, in which he promptly named "The Clan Killing Sword."

Soon enough, Kiril stumbled into the clan, and Midori seen a useful pawn viable mate. Inevitably, they did in fact become mates, and soon had three beautiful daughters. One was sent off to a nearby clan in Plague, that Midori had associated with before. The other two, he planned to keep with him. That is until he heard talk of him planning to overthrow their closest ally clan, The Clan of Darkened Winds. Now, this wasn't a lie, but he couldn't exactly just leave this information out in the open. So his youngest daughter Enes was sent off to the rival clan as a peace offering, much to Midori's regret, as he later learned, she did happen to have powers.

After that mistake, Midori was very careful with both his hatchlings, and his secrets. The daughter that got to stay in the clan, Mio, who also had powers, was and still is often ignored. Midori was terribly mean to her when he did pay her any mind, and so everyone in the clan grew to know Midori was a terrible father. That is, until Mirai was hatched.

All the hatchlings Midori had before Mirai were female, but he promised that the first son he had would be the next clan leader. The first son he had, happened to be young Mirai. Pale, small, and nervous, Mirai was the complete opposite of a good clan leader, but his fate was set. Midori became incredibly protective of the hatchling, desperately attempting to train him to become a 'good leader'. Yet, Mirai only grew more and more distant, and Midori grew more and more worried about his son. Not in that his son could be dealing with problems, no, Midori had raised him too well for his son to be dealing with anything as trivial as anxiety or some other issue, no he was worried his son could be conspiring against him.

Yet, now we see Midori in his same leader place, with Mirai desperately trying to avoid his father, Mio loathing her father, and Midori with his eyes set on corrupting anyone who gets close enough. Kiril is becoming increasingly desperate to leave, as are many other dragons in the clan. Unfortunately, they can't. Midori's claws have a hold of them all, and he's... dealt with many dragons trying to escape already. Yes, there is no denying that Midori is leader. The real question is whether or not he's a good leader.

Several years have passed and times have changed. The once fearsome leader sits in the dungeon, rotting away as he plots his revenge. His suspicions were correct, and his beloved Mirai struck him down in a fearsome battle. Midori had his front talons removed to prevent him from using his powers, and all his followers were ejected from the clan. Trapped in the Collonades of Antiquity Midori is far from the Plague lands that fuel his strange powers. He is weakened, but he will rise again. He will take what is his, and this time he will not let silly familial ties stop him. No, Midori has learned something valuable. Nobody is to be trusted.

And when he breaks free, blood will rain from the sky, and all of Sornieth will know his name.
