A carefully chosen word can have as much value as a diamond. Placed in the right setting, surrounded by other words of great worth, a single word can mean the world. It can be full of vast potential, endless meaning, critical importance.

But finding that word can take a lifetime, and shaping it another lifetime more.

Still, Lianna is in the business of words. She was born with the sun in her wings and silver on her tongue. The world was beautiful the first time she saw it, and it remains beautiful despite all the failings she has seen since. That beauty is something to be shared, and for those unable to share it in the moment, she makes it her mission to capture it in written form, spoken shape. The poems she crafts as a result are not only hers. They are a collection of all the emotion she has not been able to contain within herself. They are the overflow of everything she has ever experienced, laid bare to be seen by others with no veils or curtains in the way. Her poetry would be nothing were it not offered up to be consumed, and she would feel empty if she were not giving pieces of herself away as often as she does. It's a strange contradiction, happily lived nonetheless.

Lately, consumed by the spirit of poetry, Lianna has been much more rooted, taking up residence at the Cove Inn. There, she presents her work to select crowds even while inviting others to take the stage. The poetry workshops she so hesitantly began early in her stay have begun to draw greater numbers in pursuit of their own carefully chosen words, and the open nights are more populated than ever with other poets eager to put their work out into the world. At the Cove Inn, there is a great deal of giving oneself up to receive part of someone else in return.

She is most grateful, though, to give parts of her being one presence in particular. Also in the business of words, Keir has charmed Lianna from the start with his easygoing manner and inquisitive nature. Where Lianna captures all the glory of Sornieth with her words, he collects all its plainer moments. He completes the picture she creates, and perhaps, he truly completes her. No one else has ever felt so deserving of her poetry or the pieces of her heart, and with every passing day, she finds herself falling even more in love with him.

She suspects that when she finds her chosen word, the word worth lifetimes of work, it will be a word about him.
