Coliseum 101
All you ever need to know about grinding in Sornieth.

It's an honor for me to visit this section with a valuable contribution to fellow users of Flight Rising. After hanging around in Coliseum very often and investing hours of time (ever since I signed up during a Dec '17's Welcome Week) to understand how and what works and after facing a revamp of it this spring I'm finally ready to show you the result - the comprehensive guide for those who want to master this incredible treasure machine.

The Basics
To enter the fray, you'll need a team of eligible dragons (1 to 3) and at least a basic knowledge on how turn-based strategies work. Eligible dragons are all named mature dragons with 5 or more remaining Energy which are not on an auction house or any active Crossroads trade. Any other parameters do not influence a dragon's eligibility to fight in a Coliseum.

It's very important to plan your team in advance! My advice will be to use the algorithm below for a couple of days:
Cap the Lucky Streak in Fairgrounds for a couple of days (75000 Treasure per day);
Run errands for Crim on Trading Post hourly (~2000 Treasure per hour);
Answer Tomo's 10 questions on Trading Post (3000 Treasure per day);
Do Higher or Lower hourly (~1000 Treasure per hour).

Whenever you'll have one million treasure (believe me it's pretty easy to grind if you follow the tips above) in your posession, you are so ready to start your first team!

Coliseum uses the turn-based system. It means that the battle is a queue of sequential 'turns'. Every 'turn' is one action of either your dragon or your enemy (hereafter, units). Possible actions are determined by a unit's status and a unit's battle stones. To win a battle, a player needs to use these turns efficiently in order to eliminate all the enemies before they will be able do the same with dragons in a player's party, in which case each dragon will lose energy.

Every dragon has personal battle stone tree, personal stats and personal level. All these things can be adjusted for a better performance in battles, which makes it possible to optimize your dragon for whatever goal you want to achieve.

Be aware that any mistake you make after locking in your dragon's battle stones or stats can only be fixed for a price: you won't be able to neither change a specific battle stone (luckily, it's possible to arrange the locked battle stones since the revamp) without overwriting it and losing it, nor relocate stats without investing into a Tincture of Dissolution (I remember myself spending a ton of treasure just to fix these bad stats of my progens, with whom I was like 'lol who needs anything apart from STR, let's make them STR-ong!' and then got obliterated by Scorched Forest... XD). Just be careful of what you do before you press that 'save' or 'lock' buttons.

The Stats
Every dragon has seven different stats explained below.
STR stands for Strength. It improves a dragon's physical damage.
AGI stands for Agility. It improves a dragon's reflexes, increasing the probability to dodge incoming hostile attacks.
VIT stands for Vitality. It improves a dragon's sustainability, increasing the maximum health.
QCK stands for Quickness. It improves a dragon's speed, increasing the turn frequency.
INT stands for Intelligence. It improves a dragon's magic damage and neutral damage; also improves healing abilities.
DEF stands for Defense. It improves a dragon's resistance to incoming physical damage, reducing it.
MND stands for Mind. It improves a dragon's resistance to incoming magic damage, reducing it.

How QCK works
There are certain formulas provided for battle stone effects (damage, healing, etc.), so I won't repeat already made researches and instead, I'll sprinkle my own knowledge on how QCK works due to the fact that you I haven't found it on forums so far, sadly.
You do remember these math lessons in high school, right? Imagine a segment with a constant length, which is the distance (S). QCK is the speed (v). According to this, the factor which determines the turn order is time (t), which is possible to calculate. By using a formula, we can say that S=vt, so t=S/v.
What does it all mean? Well...
Everyone in Coliseum has QCK - enemies do too. To form a turn order, we need to imagine them walking this imaginary segment with a speed equal to QCK units per second. Whenever someone reaches the end of the segment like that, they must make their turn. After it's made, they are 'teleported' back to the segment's start and have to walk it again with QCK units per unit time. This repeats till the battle ends.
Ambush battle stone makes its wielder start the 'walk' exactly at the end of the segment (means it makes the speed for the first 1 (or 2, depends on amount of Ambush stones equipped) of the dragon equal to S units per unit time, resulting in the instant turn), which is why it makes it possible for a dragon to instantly get a guaranteed turn.

Leveling stats up
For every stat, there are two type of points: stat points (the number to the right of each stat's name) and distribution points (the points which are spent to improve stat points in order to make more use of stats). Every level up, a dragon gets a certain amount of distribution points, equal to [10+4*newLevel]. For those who want to know how many distribution points they will get on reaching every specific level, I've got a breakdown right below:

Level 2: 18 distribution points;
Level 3: 22 distribution points;
Level 4: 26 distribution points;
Level 5: 30 distribution points;
Level 6: 34 distribution points;
Level 7: 38 distribution points;
Level 8: 42 distribution points;
Level 9: 46 distribution points;
Level 10: 50 distribution points;
Level 11: 54 distribution points;
Level 12: 58 distribution points;
Level 13: 62 distribution points;
Level 14: 66 distribution points;
Level 15: 70 distribution points;
Level 16: 74 distribution points;
Level 17: 78 distribution points;
Level 18: 82 distribution points;
Level 19: 86 distribution points;
Level 20: 90 distribution points;
Level 21: 94 distribution points;
Level 22: 98 distribution points;
Level 23: 102 distribution points;
Level 24: 106 distribution points;
Level 25: 110 distribution points.

That means that you can get a maximum of [18+22+26+30+34+38+42+46+50+54+58+62+66+70+74+78+82+86+90+94+98+102+106+110] = 1536 distribution points (1556 if a dragon is tinctured).

Innate Stats
Dragons start with 5 stat points in each stat plus 20 distribution points pre-distributed in a specific pattern which depends on a dragon's breed. You can get these 20 distribution points back to spend differently after using a Tincture of Dissolution on a dragon in Abilities & Stats submenu of the Coliseum. Below are the stats for different dragon breeds which they get right after birth.

Fae: 5 STR, 5 VIT, 8 AGI, 8 INT, 6 QCK, 5 DEF, 8 MND.
Guardian: 7 STR, 8 VIT, 6 AGI, 5 INT, 5 QCK, 8 DEF, 6 MND.
