Enceladus came to his present clan with the intention of studying, in detail, the possible origins of life. He did so not merely to state his considerable curiosity, but in order to improve his hypotheses about extraterrestrial life. Enceladus is an astrobiologist, a dragon fascinated by the prospect of life existing beyond his own small planet. He hails from the mysterious Starwood Strand, where his childhood curiosity about the universe was nurtured. In the libraries of his birth clan, Enceladus devoured countless facts and theories. As he grew to adulthood, the Pearlcatcher was permitted to join stargazing sessions, held by his clan on cloudless nights. Knowledgeable though he was about the stars, the young dragon felt somewhat ignorant about the origins of life. Determined to educate himself further, Enceladus bid his birth clan farewell, and began a northward flight towards the Viridian Labyrinth, where he hoped his questions would be answered.

Enceladus never ventured into the jungle. The clan of dragons with which he journeyed across Dragonhome gradually taught him a great deal about the possible origins of life on Sorneith. On account of his curiosity about life’s origins, Enceladus spent a great deal of time with the clan’s microbiologist, x.
