Swain is the leader of the Poisonglade clan. He is a Guardian who has yet to find his charge and is still on the look out for them, but most of the time his attention is drawn away. You see Swain, he hates the beast clans. Absolutely despises their every existence from the very second they made their resurgence in the world of Sorenith. Beast Clan members are not tolerated in his clans home territory. If a member of the Beast Clan set's foot in Poisonglade's Territory. They are lucky to be chased out by other clan members as Swain would rather kill them than let them leave. To any Beast Clan member he is able to catch one way or another is killed sometimes quickly by their neck being snapped under his claws. IF they are lucky, that is. After they are killed, Swain takes them and throws them into Beast Clan territory and lets out a horrible bellowing roar as a warning. At first he used to wait for some other Beast Clan members to show up and he would look them right in the eye while standing over the corpse to let them know he meant business. Now he just leaves them there with his signature snarl and leaves, they know who it belongs to at this point.

As for familiars that join up with Posionglade they are...an Oddity. Each one has been looked over by Swain and given a reprieve if you will. Each one is allowed to roam the clan's territory as freely as they wish and take from the hoard food and materials without so much a glance from the leader of Poisonglade. Take Swain's two familiars for example, Strom the Clearwater Oracle and Metzli the Smokey Gyre. The two of them are Swain's eyes when and where he could not travel. Strom, the lucky SOB even has his own inlet pool dug inland and lined with smooth stone and a step to sit on when at the edge of the pool. Personally dug and designed by Rovu, a new comer to the clan to give Strom an easy swim out of the Wispwillow Grove and into the Great Sea. Metzli, likewise has a flame proof nest for him to roost in. In fact he has several in certain parts of the clan territory crafted by claw by Star the Skydancer.
