a wizened scholar and teacher, and the de facto head of the innoculata mysterium. he travels back home every year for the summer solstice, although no one really knows why. he also collects globes and gyroscopes for his personal collection. he brings his pets everywhere with him, and carries his spaniel on his back when she gets tired.

as you traverse the well-worn path up the mountain, you can hear the gentle swaying of glass chimes in the breeze, and the faint sound of papers shuffling and claws rapping against stone. you traverse a bit more, and you are met with an scholarly looking imperial sitting at a table inside a hewn stone gazebo. the imperial turns his attention towards you and beckons you forward. he introduces himself as io oakheart, and begins to speak.
