Zvvt8eV.png 		Aym The void was all they had known. And, in the back of their minds, in the deepest recesses of their minds where even The One Who Waits couldn’t pluck the thought from their skulls, they feared it was all they would ever know.

The chains (a curse hissed Aym; fate claimed Baal) that bound them together was the only thing that broke the monotony. It tightened with their anger- searing with white hot rage until they were all screaming into the void- and grew deathly still with apathy until they all choked on the taste of ash.

They were one. Eons of nothing but the sluggish passage of time made sure of that. They were one now, but they had not always been. In the rare moments of lucidity- in the even rarer moments where they could draw apart and reflect on what was- they knew it to be so.

Aym and Baal knew they were different; they were not meant to exist in such a state. Their minds had been stretched. Warped. Molded in such a way that their finite memory could hold an infinite of void between them. Normally they could remember nothing but the void. Yet sometimes the echo of memory- of ripe dirt and rippling brook- ghosted across their minds.

They had been something… once. They had to have been. But now all they had left was each other. Time eternal. And the full attention of The One Who Waits.
