╭ Selene and Janus were borne to no parents. Legend has it they were sculpted from the snow by the moon herself. No one really knows because no one was alive when it happened. Regardless of how they came to be, they have been markedly enduring. They lead the wax sect of the clan, the Wildclaws, charged with protection of the clan and keeping the food stores full. They have always led these dragons, and will until the end of time. Selene is couth, refined, well-mannered. She is quiet and thinks it wise to always speak as little as possible. Leave things up to their imagination, keep the guessing and wondering. The less they know of the inner-workings of your mind, the better. To say Selene is dishonest is not necessarily true. She values honesty, and quite dislikes when dragons are not honest to her. However, she understands life is not so simple as truth and lies. She is well-practiced in crafting her words to be simultaneously honest and misleading at the same time. If confronted, she can confidently say she did not tell a lie. Whether she told the whole truth is another question. To most dragons, she is cold and distant. The only exception to this is her children and the dragon charged with raising them.

x Selene's eldest and her favorite, without a doubt. She encouraged her other hatchlings to find their glory elsewhere, but she needed Weylyn with her. He radiated with an aura that showed nothing but promise to Selene. However, she shared these feelings with Soren alone. She knew how expectations tended to spoil young dragons. |

x Selene's second hatchling and only girl. She had a special place in her heart for her, completely due to her gender. She wanted her to grow up to be just like her mother, cunning and powerful. Selene was wise enough, though, to know that growing up in her shadow would also harbor the worst of Selene in her daughter. Her children would be better than her. |

x Darren was born bigger and more athletic looking than the others. Selene knew her mate, Janus, would take an immediate interest in him, so she made sure he remained with Soren for his upbringing. As soon as he was old enough to endure the travel, she arranged for his move into Clan AXQU, a clan with close ties to her own. |
Cassian

Cassian is the youngest of Selene's first clutch. He was born with brighter markings than the others, save his sister's beautifully patterned wings. His vibrant underbelly is indicative of his bright personality. He loves to be the center of attention, but perhaps that is because he did not capture the eyes of either of his parents. His mother, he understands, she is busy leading their pack. But his father has plenty of time to pay him attention, yet he receives none. Cassian loves entertaining people - dancing and singing, frolicking to get a laugh. Although bright and entertaining, Cassian does not care about other dragons. He is markedly selfish and unstable. Most dragons do not see this side of him, though. There is a rumor, however, that Soren caught the young hatchling tearing into a baby hainu ruthlessly, ripping the poor thing to shreds long after it was dead. Soren insisted he found the creature that way, but can anyone really be sure? |
Seth

His father would say Seth was born with a blessing, but his mother knew what his condition really was: a curse. A terrible affliction. Upon his hatching, every witness was captivated by the capsule of glittering liquid seen on his underbelly. Each of his siblings were born with this trait, but his looked so real. It almost appeared that his faux-capsule actually sloshed around inside of him with his movements. It must have been a trick of the light, but it was incredible. It was not until Seth had some typical hatchling spit-up, and the target of the retched liquid was a rattle in his play pen. One of his caretakers reached down with a rag to clean it, but instead found a rattle now encased in gold. The thing had quadrupled in weight. Seth's markings were more than just markings. Inside his tiny body was a pool of liquid gold. His father saw a literal gold mine when he looked at him. They could be rich if they could keep him coughing up the gold liquid. Seth endured terrible pain for the short time he remained with the clan. His mother knew it was not right to subject him to this torture, but her mate would not simply stop if he was asked. He wasn't safe here, but would he be safe anywhere? |
