The Wise Woman

Danerah is the wisest dragon in all the clan. Much like her first and only mate, Logan, she has a great deal of respect for his rules, and a strong sense of justice to boot. However, as a very small Fae, she wasn't respected much herself buy the younger, larger dragons of the clan - and so in the clan's early days, Danerah had to earn respect through displays of her knowledge. In the days before the clan had the healer Ainan, this elderly Fae would be the one to heal sick and injured dragons, cleaning wounds as best she could and applying her considerable knowledge of medicine wherever possible. For this, she gained the respect of the battle dragons who were always getting into scrapes, and ergo she gained the respect of the rest of the lair, making her name as a wise dragon known.
Now, since the clan has a proper healer, Danerah mostly uses her status of wise-woman to give authority to her decisions - which are certainly wise indeed. Being a Fae, she rarely shows much emotion, giving judgments of arguments that are fair rather than emotional or kind. For this reason, other dragons see the elderly Fae as somewhat cold, but they all still come to her whenever a decision needs to be made one way or the other. All her decisions to this day have been recorded by her studious Nature Sprite, who certainly has her own work cut out; many decisions are made each day, for the clan is forever turbulent. Danerah's decisions are always honored in the clan, which as a whole respects her deeply.
In fact, as a sign of their great respect, the other dragons of Danerah's clan came together to give her a very special present - and so it was that one fine morning, Danerah woke up to find that her belly and her wings had been magically changed, setting her apart from other Faes. She now had a beautiful leaf underbelly to highlight her jade body, and her black wings now had a lovely white paint gracing them, as well as a gilt gold edge. From this day onwards, the elderly Fae was marked out as a wise woman for the rest of her life, and still has the clan's respect even now.
