Kaihua

favorite food(s):
Garden Tender Redwing Hopper

The owner and operator of Sōlis' teahouse, Kaihua boasts an impressive selection of all sorts of teas. From herbal, to fruity, flowery, and of course the basics, she makes sure to have a wide selection at all times. She's memorized which are the favorites of everyone in the clan that stops by, ensuring she always has what they need available.

Kaihua's teahouse is settled close by Cider's café, having set up an area between their shops for patrons to relax. Neither of them see the other as competition, and often work together to invent new treats to sell. She looks up to him and sees him as a mentor, but he humbly declines that he's of that kind of status.

She occasionally travels to find what cannot be grown in her garden at dragonhome, searching for the finest quality ingredients for tea. Kaihua also dabbles into baking using tea leaves as a flavor in pastries, so is eager to learn any new recipes where she goes.

Being such a popular spot in the clan, Kaihua gets to learn a lot about her neighbors when they come by her shop. Sometimes, she gets so caught up in talking to clanmates that she'll forget to tend to other responsibilities... leading her to scramble late at night to get chores done around the teahouse. Luckily some of the mindful dragons can give her a gentle reminder to not be so distracted. Conversation can be held at any time, but dishes will continue to pile up, after all.

Though much of her life revolves around tea, Kaihua also dabbles into history on occasion. She has an interest in archaeology, an interest that started from curiosity about the history of tea. She's no expert as of right now, but is interested in learning whatever she can, often reading books or listening to the historians of the clan chatter about their work.

extra:

Her home is by the southern exit of Pixie Peak Cavern, next to the café plaza.

Name origin: 开花 (Chinese) means flowering.
