Korala
The Silent Headmaster
Co-founder of Everbloom University. "This illness won't stop me." Korala had humble beginnings. Growing up in the Everbloom Gardens, she lived a relatively peaceful life in the vibrant biome. As a colorful skydancer, she fit in quite well with the community with her beautiful plumage and peaceful songs she'd play on her lyre. One day, however, her peaceful life would turn upside down. While collecting water, Korala discovered a hardcover book washed up on the riverbanks. "Someone must of dropped their book into the river," she said as she picked up the soggy book with her free hand. Taking the book with her, she returned to her lair with her collected water. Once settled, she examined the book. The book wasn't titled and it was bound in a dark hard material. Korala thought perhaps the book was a journal of sorts, and that the owner's name might be written inside. Although she felt uncomfortable possibly reading someone's personal thoughts, she figured it wouldn't hurt to just read the inside cover to see if a name was written there. Upon opening the book, Korala saw a smattering of darkness inside the book. It wasn't just black ink, the darkness felt alive and peered back at the skydancer. "What is this book!?" Korala wanted to shut the book but the darkness shot at her hand like a jolt. She stumbled back, suddenly feeling disoriented. Korala could feel her consciousness slipping... "....ko...wa...up" "..." "...ala..!" "....?" "Korala please wake up!" Korala winced upon opening her eyes, looking up towards the ceiling of her lair. In her line of vision was the bright green eyes of her friend Naranja. "Bout time you woke up! I found you on the floor and got really scared!" the orange spiral spoke, helping the skydancer sit up. |
