_She's never really just 'agreed'. Her parents didn't teach her to question, but she learned it from them regardless, and puzzled problem and solution in her mind until her own answers for why and how come formulated.

A little core of rot grew with her as she reached maturity. A stubborn, unrelenting center, inflamed by harshness and sheltered by frustration. She left home with a slam, and has defied almost every principle her parents gave her along the way. Treasure whispered to her in its golden, silken voice, and she listened to it until she had too much and had nothing to do with it. Regret started to fester beneath her core, and she denied its existence whenever possible. But it didn't matter, because regret begins even for the saints.

Always stuck in her own head, reviewing past choices and actions endlessly into the night, wondering what could fill the gap left behind but finding nothing that fit. She's going to find it, thanks to that core of hers. She'll search for it until she can't anymore, using whatever means she can grab hold of.
