Shoreline was forced out of the clan he was born to shortly after hatching. Even with the bright crackling along his body the fact that the majority of his body was white alarmed the older dragons. They did not want his 'sickness' to spread. He wandered the Sunbeam Ruins for some time, avoided and brushed off by the other dragons he met. particularly the Coatls. So he decided to enter into the Tangled Wood, to see if he could find acceptance amongst the misfits of the Shadow realm. The Woods were dark and strange to him though. Alarming noises would whisper around him and he could never find their source. The dragons that he met wanted little to do with anyone originating from the land of Light, especially a 'diseased' looking one. He began to realise that things might not be so different here after all. When he and Nightsky happened across one another he became sure of it. She too was all white with nothing for color but a crackling across her body, though her crackling was black, making her even less colorful than he was. Had she been born completely black she probably would have found acceptance in the Shadow realm, but that was not the case. She too had been cast out by her birth clan. Things were not different here at all. The two of them decided to make their way elsewhere, thinking to perhaps travel to the land of Plaguebringer, after all, wouldn't two 'diseased' Coatls fit in there? On their journey however, they came to the Sea of a thousand Currents and bumped into Sunchild. They were shocked to hear that the Coatl, who was completely white except for his wings, had a clan who accepted him. They were more surprised to find that upon their arrival at the Lair, none of the clan thought they were diseased at all! In fact, some of the dragons there complimented the two on how striking their crackling looked in contrast to their white bodies! Needless to say the two chose to stay with the clan, and have no desire to ever leave. |
