In a war situation:

The moon provided just enough light for anyone beneath to see their path. And sure enough, some dragons were walking below, their scales shimmering in the moonlight. Five of them, walking towards some kind of ruins. Yutsuru, Avalanche, Atsuy, Yatty and Taz walked into the abandoned place that must've served as some great building back in the day.

"What have you dragged me into, Suya?"
"Avalanche! Don't call me that among everyone. I don't want them to get the habit." Atsuy whispered to Avalanche. They were a good distance away from each, he "whispered" quite loudly to reach the Ridgeback and so everyone heard it anyway, Atsuy was painfully aware of that.
"Besides, you're the one who wanted to come since you were apparently worried about me."
"You'd probably go for a dive and get lost or d-drown yourself in the dark!"
"And you would get scared by the smallest creak or a rat's squeak. You're most likely not going to be alive by tomorrow."
"Suya, you're so mean..."
"Can the two of you get a move on?"
Avalanche and Atsuy both looked at Yatty after he spoke up, standing a few meters away from them with Yutsuru and Taz.

"Yeah, we've got so much more to explore! Oh oh! What if we find some rogue capes or so? I'm sure something like that would look great on Yatty!"
"Heh, thanks Taz. Really though, I'd look godly in anyth-"
"I-I think I'll stay outside." interrupted Avalanche, without meaning to.
"All alone?" replied Atsuy.
"Uhm..."
"Do what you want, but let go of my tail first."
"A-ah! Sorry!"
"Don't worry 'bout it."
Avalanche did go, back out to be greeted by the moon yet again.
"Was it really necessary?"
"Don't worry Yutsuru, he'll come back in no time.

"Well that was disappointing."
Atsuy and Yutsuru nodded, agreeing with Yatty's statement.
"Who would've thought? I was sure we could get something from here, guess not. Someone must've been here before us."
"Hey it's alright! Let's not let it get the best of us, O-K?"
"You tell me Taz, what else are we supposed to do?"
"We could play a game!"
"Sure does sound fun."
Yutsuru perked in between Yatty and Taz.
"I think it'd be cool! To play a game in ruins like these in the middle of the night!"
That took Yatty by surprise. "Huh? What kind of game would be more exciting under these circumstances? Hide and seek?"
"Guess the dragon!"
All three of them fell silent at Taz's reply.

"Guess the dragon? We could play that anytime though and it'd still be the same-"
"I don't think so! I doubt we'd all manage to get together like this again and put our mind to a game like that, so let's do it right now! Nee?" Yatty was again interrupted, this time by Taz.
Before he could say anything in response though, they heard someone running closer and soon enough, Avalanche was back in the bunch, tugging on Atsuy's tail as if it brought him comfort.
"Finally decided to come back?"
"Nevermind that!"
"Don't worry Ava, we'll play Guess the dragon! It'll help enlighten the mood!"
Ava was still obviously scared like he'd always be in the dark, but managed to give a small smile in return.
"Sounds good, Taz!"

"Alright then, let's start with Atsuy! Yatty, think of a dragon for him!"
"Gotcha! Alright I've thought of a dragon!"
"Is it Charlotte?"
"H-how'd you know?!"
"Who else would a lovestruck idiot like you pick?"
"Eh? Was it that obvious?"
"Yep." said everyone in unison.
"Sorry Yatty, that counts! Suya, give Ava a dragon!"
"Don't call me that."
"Heh, sorry!"
"I've thought of a dragon."
"Hmm... Is it female?"
"Yeah."
"Does she use magic?"
"Yeah."
"Is she kind?"
"No."
"No? Is she... scary?"
"Yeah."
"Is it a Coatl?"
"No."
"Is it a Pearlcatcher?"
"No."
"Is it a Nocturne?"
"Yeah."
"Is it L-leaper?"
"What? No."
"I don't know any other scary Nocturnes!"
"It's Galestrike ya dumbo."
"Huh!? Galestrike? But she's not scary!"
"Yes she is."
Taz poked his nose in their conversation: "You've got some explaining to do, Suya!"

--Flashback--
"What the... Atsuy? Atsuy is that you?"
Atsuy quickly shook the water off of his head to clear his vision. On the shore he saw Galestrike, shouting after him.
"I told you not to get in contact with water until the next sunrise!"
Yeah, she did. After a lot of monochrome begging, she agreed to use a spell on him for some fins covering a portion of his feathers to swim better. What could happen though? No dragon was going to stop him from doing what he loved to do most. That, until he felt himself grow drowsy.

When he opened his eyes again he was in Galestrike's den.
"Lucky *******. Finally awake, huh?"
Atsuy could barely move his tail or wings. It was almost as if he had a paralysis.
"What's happening?" he asked, not quite understanding, what was going on. He started to flail his arms in hopeless attempts to turn over.
"You stay down or I'll have to strap on the damn ground."
To Atsuy, whatever look Galestrike was giving him seemed murderous.
---End of flashback---

"Why'd you never tell me, Suya?" asked Ava in shock.
"Cause I didn't want to."
"You didn't seem to have any problem telling it right now to all of us!"
"You didn't know about this, Ava?" asked Yatty.
"No, I didn't. When I went to visit him he wouldn't tell me."
"Oh! That's when you tied that bow to his tail, right?" asked Taz.
"Yep!"
"Yeah, and nobody has still agreed to take this damn thing off of me."
"It looks cute on you though! And it brings luck! I might have to get you a new one though, you've managed to get it quite scratched up here and there."
"Shut it."
