B I O G R A P H Y

Quillian is a dragon created directly by the Arcanist and meant to be in his image, she has an unquenchable thirst for information and understanding. Upon leaving the Observatory for the first time, she was determined to learn all she could and form a clan that could support her deity. Unfortunately she found herself not the most sociable with other dragons, they either did not appreciate her enthusiasm for research or understand her monotone voice and excited frill twitches. For a long while her only companion in the Crystalspine Reaches was a single Fallout Streak that had followed her down from her point of origin. Surprisingly Kelltagonan stumbled upon her struggling to clear an area of the Reaches to set up camp. His childlike manner won her over and they were able to work together quite well. Soon she had a couple of dragons staying by for a time on their way to other lands and eggs being dropped off on her doorstep left and right, these hatched to become Plajus, Zephonyx, and Kethlan.

She taught them all she knew and all she had learned as she pursued information on the magical leylines that crisscrossed all of Sornieth. They grew under her tutelage and eventually formed the foundation of the clan, the Crystal Crown. More and more dragons sought them out, for shelter and for information and their numbers grew. Then the Beastclans arose, Maren, Serthis, Talonok, Longneck, and Centaur raiding parties threatened the generally harmless band of researchers and alchemists along the edge of the Reaches and they were forced inland, through the Starwood Strand and up to the Focal Point. Many dragons left the clan to serve the Arcanist directly at the time and even more were killed by tooth, claw, and venom.

Quillian hired on a group of mercenaries and gathered warriors to help defend her people. The Rose Knights have been stalwart allies ever since, and Murkpaw trains the younglings to serve the Observatory as guards and magi-scientists. New architects were brought in to help establish the clan, clearing parts of the nearby Starwood for magical apparatuses and field research, hewing caves into the Focal Point for living quarters, and generally re-establishing the clan. New allies have been made, and new breakthroughs in both alchemy and magi-technology have come about.

____Her personal quarters are on a large Starwood tree that is central to all the outlying research camps, there is a large meeting tent at the base for visiting non-Fae, as most of her chambers are magically spun sap bubbles that cling to the tree branches themselves. When the rooms are illuminated at night it is a sight to behold with glowing orange orbs and tunnels webbing between them and all through the soft blue branches.

____Quillian is most often found within these chambers or in the comfortable tent below with various members of the clan. She has not left the clan site since the Rise of the Beastclans and the death of a number of her researchers and friends. Despite being a construct, she is like other dragons with emotions, bonds, and loneliness. Perhaps, the arrival of a newfound mate will be what stirs her from her place and brings a bit of passion for fieldwork back into her core.
