B I O G R A P H Y

Almost wholly silent, Medea seems to embody the old proverb that actions speak louder than words. Unflinching red eyes watch over the small band of dragons as they wander the wastes of the Plaguebringer's domain, only losing their vigilance and pragmatism while in the company of her mate but in every line of her actions her love and care for her clan is clear.

Never in even the eldest dragon's memory has she spoken of herself but the snippets cobbled together from what curious passerby have managed to wheedle out of the clan's old guard are thus:

They call her θανάτου. They say she fell into the Wyrmwound as a child, fraying her wings and perhaps something deeper within. They say it was Telesto who pulled her out of the cauldron of disease and, in the moment their eyes met, he finally found his charge. They say all her children one day find their way into the Plaguebringer's arms. They say all who know her will one day fall into irrevocable illness. They say her mate has been hiding a worsening cough for years now.

Increasingly often she can be found in Lachesis' company, their one-sided conversations revealing little of their intentions, though it has been noted that while Lachesis serves as her son's tutor and guide, his name seldom passes between them. Nonetheless, this fact only alarms those outside the clan. Those within have come to accept that obscurity is a veil drawn over the matriarch's actions out of a desire to protect and know that she has never once steered them wrong or done them harm. Nor does she intend to allow even the designs of the cosmos to do the same.
