Children of storm and sea, Bronte and Benthesicyme never knew their choice to move to the Viridian Labyrinth would lead them to another dragon she would feel so much for so quickly.
Like most Mirrors, Bronte is a melee fighter. But the glowing runes on her body are not just markings. They pulse and glow with the electricity she seems to hold beneath her scales. When angry, sparks crackle from her skin. Just the sight of the little bolts is enough to make some dragons back down from a fight. They have good reason to; in battle the lightning leaps from her talons as she attacks. However, she doesn't seem to have control over this power. And it does manifest when unneeded. If it really is a gift from the Stormcatcher, maybe a mortal isn't meant to control it.
Is immune to lightning bolts, seems to absorb them. Even attract them during storms. A very powerful lightning bolt may stun her for a moment, while her body absorbs it.

Unlike others', Bronte's voltaic stormclaws are a part of her. In an attempt to control Bronte and her wild lightning powers, a laboratory in the Shifting Expanse surgically fused the stormclaws to her body.
Bronte and other dragons escaped the lab, and Bronte took off on her own. She fled across Sornieth, never trusting other dragons, never settling, lest the dragons from the lab find her. It was tiring, and eventually she found herself in the Viridian Labyrinth. There wasn't really anywhere else for her to run. Skarlet's clan found her, and Bronte took them up on their offer to stay and rest for awhile. Her plans to keep running ended when she got closer to Ben. Ben and the clan leaders promised Bronte she could stay, that if anyone came looking for her, she would be protected.
