Biography
Savage Intimidating
The Predator
In the shadows on the wall
I hear it's call
In a nightmare, not asleep
Without light and without dreams
The beast is in me
A creature from the other side
It's walking by my side
All this time
It is burning but won't kill
I still have my mind and will
I save my last dance for me
-Dancing with the Beast by Battle Beast
I hear it's call
In a nightmare, not asleep
Without light and without dreams
The beast is in me
A creature from the other side
It's walking by my side
All this time
It is burning but won't kill

Some believe Caedis is a demon; forever stained with the blood of her slain.
ensanguine. verb. to stain or cover, as with blood.
When my time comes around
Lay me gently in the cold dark earth
No grave can hold my body down
I'll crawl home to her
-Work Song by Hozier
Let me die, let me drown, lay my bones in the ground
I will still come around when the time for sleep is through
Over hill, over dale, through the valley and vale
Do not weep, do not wail, I am coming home to you
-Thus Always to Tyrants by The Oh Hellos
With belly plates made of chainsaw blades, razors lining my throat, a barbed whip for a tongue and serrated ice-pick claws, I don’t have a very long list of fears. I got over my fear of the dark as a hatchling. The dusk itself seems to bend away from me. I don’t think it wants to be cut either. A headdress made of steel and fitted with the horns of a demon are nailed to my skull, down to the bone. I had a problem with my skull as a child, and it needed to be reinforced. It was too weak. So they gave me horns to make me feel better about it, and I’ve put them to good use. They’re stained red.
My fingers fumble around under my tatters, and I can feel the rows of bones that I so love to use like throwing stars. It’s night, and my eyes press on against the curtain pulled before me. I use my tail as a safeguard, sweeping it before me before I step. Who knows what could be on this path? Broken glass is mainly what I’m looking out for. Glass slips between the cracks in your scales like water, and leaves your flesh tingling and screaming out for hours, raw and sore after the ordeal.
I like to take walks way after nightfall. I feel powerful when I stride out here, alone, knowing how weak I used to be and how strong I am now. I prowl the border of my territory, ensuring that nobody has crossed it or done anything that would enrage me. My mind flashes hot white as I think back to the glass, and skips between my beaten palms slamming against the hard rocks and to the wet thud of a butcher knife.
A strange energy rushes through my heart, and I pull against the urge to break into a run and tear apart the first victim I come across. Their garbled screams. The way that blood feels, slick against fur when it comes down in rivulets, and beads and drips. The way it dries, black and cracked. Dragging the blade back out… My eyes roll into my head, and I can feel shudders start to systematically ripple down my body. A scraping purr springs to a start in my chest.
MY PET, MY PET.
A deep throated roar flies free from the back of my mouth, a crack of blue-white lightning spilling out without my consent.
GOFORTHTAKELIVES
I scream, my heart pounding, and eyes darting in every direction. Everything is lit with a warm orange light, it looks like it’s all on fire. My eyes seem to be in several places at once, and before I can recognize it, I’m hurtling forwards, wind digging at my ears and splaying my fins outwards. Small creatures scatter out of my path, but they aren’t my target. A good step will squish one of those flat, no pleasure in dismantling their tiny bodies.
My breath comes in wheezing bursts, like someone’s just pulled me out of the water and I’m gasping for all the air I can get before they shove me back under, face down in the sand. That’s when I see him twenty feet away: up in a tree, sleeping all in a bundle.
I screech, and all I can process is his drowsy, shocked face before my teeth are sinking into meat and bone. My nose is jammed with thick blood, and my mouth tastes like metal.
I’ve been shaking long into the night when I wake up on the ground, face smeared and ground around me reddened. I feel nauseous now, gaping in the quiet, starless expanse. Take me by my bones, hook me in the ribs and pull me to your carriages that ride across the galaxy and deposit those who have been stolen in hell.

This beauty here looks like she could fight my entire clan with her claws tied behind her back and win. She looks like she wouldn't hesitate to throat punch someone if given the chance. Caedis is the type of dragon who wouldn't stop protecting her clan or her friends!
