Ignis, isn't the nicest in the clan, but no one can argue with her results. Ignis is responsible for training all the young dragons who come and go from the clan. While many don't make it through her training and leave before they graduate, those that make it through become some of the finest warriors of their generation, though only some of them look back at their training with "fondness". Ignis doesn't mind it or the reputation though. Her work breeds hardened warriors who aren't going to bail in their first fight and risk themselves and others getting hurt. So I guess she cares deep down. Deep, deep down.

Ignis was born to a pair of wandering traders, who encouraged her independence - and as such Ignis left as soon as she could. Not out of lack of love, but simply because she knew her bath laid elsewhere. While travelling, Ignis met many different dragons., and fought more. Every dragon she encoutered she took advice from, either working it into her own techniques or keeping it in mind for her next opponent.

Eventually, through her travels, Ignis met another Coatl as brilliant and passionate in battle as her self. This Coatl, Pheonix as he introduced himself defeated her comprehensively, but something about this particular opponent drew Ignis in. She went away and trained so that she could come back to fight him again. He accepted, and beat her again. On and on this cycle went, for months. During this time, Ignis spent time amongst Pheonix's clan, helping others with their own fighting styles (more out of frustration than any kind of altruism). Clan leader at the time, Vivienne noticed Ignis's talent in instructing others; patience, insight and her own special brand of motivation. Eventually, she was offered the position of trainer. Suprised at first, Ignis accepted the position - though she never though she could belong anywhere as well as she belongs here.

She still hasn't beaten Pheonix in an honest fight, but her focus is now more on raising the next generation to do it for her.

Ignis is a powerful warrior, arguably one one of the best in the entire clan. In a true battle of strength, speed or endurance she isn't a match for a large number of her peers - her true power comes from her understanding of others and experience. That being said, she isn't weak by any means. Years of conditiong has left her in peak condition, powerful chest and wings to help her grapple with her largest of enemies. While not the fastest or most agile, she flexible enough to chase smaller opponents as well.

Ignis's real strength is her ability to analyse opponents, or students and find their weakness to exploit or cover. This comes from a combination of keen eyes and an understanding of how others develop and learn, her experience in fighting a large variety of different fighters usign different styles, and a passion to grow and change and always adapt. Now if only she could smile a little at her students and they would love her to bits.

It may have taken them almost a year of sparring to get to this point, but Pheonix and Ignis are truly soulmates.

AGNI • Friend

Though she loves him dearly, Ignis's pride as a warrior and trainer comes first, so a traitor like Agni can not be trusted.

FOTIA • Son

Fotia is Ignis's pride and joy, the example she uses of a prime warrior and student.

CHUSAYO • Student

Though graduated, Chusayo is always seeking to practice her skills. Ignis is more than willing to help.
