Hypothetically, if Kazumi were a nogitsune, he'd have seven tails. Which would make him some seven thousand years old. If Kazumi were a kitsune, he'd be cursed to loving life and cherishing every moment of it, while his soul mate is forced to die and come back and die and come back and repeat a handful more times. Right in front of him. He'd have spent countless years teaching himself to not hate life, and the life of being a hunted nogitsune. Who has done nothing but exist harmlessly, with the exception of some self defense that never ended fatally. But that's if he were a nogitsune.

Which he's not.

Kazumi is a perfectly normal dragon, well except for being born deaf. That's still normal though. He's able to read lips perfectly, and sign even better. He also enjoys dancing and feeling the beats and rhythms flow through his body. Most of the syndicate does find it strange that this comes in combination with the fact he's also the house doctor. Questioned above no other, and even in outside circumstances considered the best health expert to ask for counsel in for sicknesses, procedures, and preventive measures. It's not until new little brothers and sisters of the syndicate start to wonder how a lot of things connect for Kazumi; How did he get here? How is he a first captain? Does Tsissa know he has such a mysterious man as one of his wakagashiras?
We just don't know!

Regardless, Kazumi loves life like no other, and it's the biggest reason he's chosen to follow Tsissa.
