Hatched nestled in the base of a huge and wonderfully carved pillar, they were entertained in their early days by scenes of magic and ancient battles, of adventure and tricks of wit. They learned of knowledge and its immense value from their mother, and of history and magic from their massive father. The library became their home from as soon as they could read, and Sihaya always had a hard time keeping the place cleaned when one of her little ones started in on a new topic of interest or a new series of poems.
Their father with his deep blue eyes, nurtured what little magic of the earth made its way into their glowing shells, and taught them the value of memory and preserving things to be remembered. Only in memory could lessons of the past be learned, and he always reinforced these lessons with a little trinket of stone or jewel, so they could look at it and remember how important history truly was. Ancient battles came alive again under his teachings, and often at the dismay of their poor mother as the little ones would tear through the libraries, growling and tumbling, pretending to be the ancient drakes of old as they fought to free the lands they claimed from the Beastclans. Days like this it didn't take mother long to toss them outside to play somewhere else…
Their adventurous spirit and curiosity always drew them out into the world at large, and it's never long at all before they find themselves pulled from the place of their birth to explore new lands. A snapper never truly is happy till they’ve seen all they can, after all….
