Barnabus (Prince)
Deckhand

Well, aren't you a quiet one? We've been sitting next to each other for the duration of the evening and neither of us have tried to converse with one another.
Excuse me, the name is Barnabus. Since this is my last evening on land for some time I considered having a pint before the ship sets sail. Here, let me buy you one and we can enjoy the night together.
Please, don't worry. I'm not here to rob you or cut your throat, I'm simply here to make your acquaintance and enjoy your company.

Hatched to a clutch of three, Prince didn't have a simple life from the start. The clan that adopted him from the auction house spoiled him in exchange for him keeping the peace between them and a rival clan. This worked for some time and Prince, originally named Barnabus as a hatchling, acted and was treated like royalty. He was well-mannered even in dire times and had an air about him that most would consider him of high rank or social status, and for times of danger, the clan had taught him how to attack as well.

During one dispute, though, a spiral threatened Prince, and the two discovered, at the expense of the spiral's metal claws and his real claws, that Prince wasn't fond of being touched. During the attack though, Prince blacked out and woke up on the ocean. He was hoisted on to the Crowned Thresher and forced to work aboard it.

They pillaged the two clans that were currently at war which Prince had worked to keep apart shortly afterwards. After emerging victorious, the coatl kept the claws he had and took to the new lifestyle quickly. Despite being spoiled in his old clan, the dragon learned quickly and his body suffered and struggled through it yet Prince endured and almost enjoyed it.
