Urged with promises of great wealth, power and warm climate, Vitisirppi took the opportunity of matrimony with a foreign chieftain.

Instantly after joining the clan, he became the High Consort of the most handsome, strong and rich male he ever saw. For a while they loved each other wildly and passionately, until Vitisirppi's eye caught on a servant boy, a young and beautiful nocturne named Vuolo. For six months they met in secret, until they were caught by the scandal hungry handmaiden Ruutana. The cunning woman lead Halti straight into their secret spot. They were banished from the clan's lands with nothing but each other and the clothes they were wearing.

In exile the lovers came upon a camp of rugged travellers near the edges of Sunbathers domain, unknown to both parties they are in fact all exiled members of Sunbathers court.
