_origins_

- was honestly kinda average in terms of strength and speed
- survived because he was cautious and discovered that he has a knack for magic
- while you were busy establishing a society i studied the arcane
- it wasn't just him though, he had a posse... a study group- scholars?
- none of them were considered 'high ranking' until their parent sect came back
- the scholars completely turned the tables on everyone else
- big brain time
- basically they transformed into dragons and crushed their competition, not because dragons are inherently more powerful than beastmen, but because it caused so much shock that they were able to use it to their advantage

- was initially sent here to check out whatever the hell's going on with the colosseum
- he's having a crisis because he finds elan, a dragon, attractive and oh boy
- vashek can conceal his true form but everyone who's met him for five seconds knows that he has a crush
