*squeak* The hatchlings wrote in the books again!
╭
Simbi is a nervous, tittery dragon. Nicknamed Jitter for her habit to nervously stutter whatever someone said to her, she was assigned the role of librarian quickly. The dark confines of the underground library calm her down. One of her favourite things is to hoard music sheets, which she will sometimes play for those willing to listen. Her favourite musical instrument is the harp, but often doesn't get enough time to play. Hardly anyone knows of her ability to play, and her skills are often overshadowed by Briana. Not that Simbi minds. She has often been praised for her fine handwriting, and hatchling letters are often brought to her to write before they're sent off to their parents. She has not found a mate yet, but doesn't mind, preferring to bury her nose in this particularly fascinating book she's found right here. Yes. The only dragons that really interact with her are the denizens of the library, the scholars, Voltair, Endo and Anaisa. She doesn't mind the males, but Anaisa doesn't pick up after herself, often leaving in a flurry. Perhaps to avoid the earful she'll get from herself, Simbi likes to believe, but she knows deep inside she couldn't confront a fly. Simbi really likes Kongo. His heart is gentle, and she loves the work he does with his animals. She is fascinated with him, and is delighted whenever he brings her a sweetly smelling feather or trinket collected from his familiars. She often spends time listening to his gentle singing when she can spare a moment, and sleeps next to his soft, warm body at night. Simbi truly feels comfortable around the bubbly pearlcatcher, and would to anything for him... as long as it doesn't involve public speaking.

Previously on ""The Tribe""; ""Simbi!"" Simbi squealed and jumped, her quill cutting through the paper and knocking over the inkwell. Sighing, she started to clear up the mess before Modremoth bust through the library door, Rue at his heels. Jumping again, she stopped to hold her hand to her beating chest before turning and facing the leader. ""Y-yes, sir?"" ""He did it. He - glademother, Simbi, did you know anything about this?"" She shook behind her glasses, as her guide continued to clean up after her. ""Wh-what? W-who?"" ""Cynfor, Simbi. Rue just now gave me a letter from his new clan. Apparently the git's found himself with Vortex and Medeni, though she goes by the name of Medeni."" Pausing, he looked around at the large piles of dusty pages. Books and scrolls littered the floor; Simbi's once spotless library was dusty, and the poor dragon looked overworked. ""Girl, have you found yourself a notetaker yet?"" She shook her head, wryly wringing her fingers. Her beads rattled, she was trembling so hard. ""I have a girl for you. I'll send her down your way tomorrow. This stuff should really be taken down, now that Cynfor's gone. And hopefully a little more legibly. Anyway, what I was saying, he's gone and found himself in a hatchling body again, and nobody can get the information from him as to why. I was wondering if you would know? Something about an...."" He looked down at Rue's missive, whilst Rue buried her nose into a book she plucked off the shelves. ""an... Oo-roo-boo-russ."" ""A-an Ourobouros, sir. It's an ancient snake that can d-devour itself wh-whole, sir. It can r-r-rebirth its-self, l-like a-a-a-a-a new body. I-I-I r-read about it in an o-old Arcane tome once, s-sir."" Modremoth rolled up the paper and looked at her closely. Simbi felt herself shrink under his stare. ""Well, do you have any record of this 'Oorooboorus', then? If Cynfor has broken into some new research ground, I want my scholars delving into this! Imagine if we could harness the memories of our elder dragons, and provide them with a new, young body!"" ""I-I-I d-don't know if th-that w-will w-work sir."" ""Why not?"" Staring intently at a spot of dust in the corner, Simbi whispered ""Cynfor ripped it. I-I was trying to copy it down, a-a-and...."" She turned her gaze to look at the mess on her desk. Weeks of carefully piecing back together ripped parchment and intricately copying down every single detail on the shreds of paper were ruined by a quickly drying ink spill. Modremoth puffed himself up in anger, held it, then let out a deep breath, sighing as Simbi prepared to be thrown into the Swamp for her accident. Moving closer, he bumped heads with her, a skydancer hug. ""It's okay, Simbi. You did your best. I had already contacted Erica in the Icefields, and she told me the parchment Cynfor had written down had been taken with him. I knew you would have been trying your best somehow. Don't take it out on yourself."" Moving back, Modremoth cracked his shoulders. ""Simbi, I think it's time you close the library for a little bit and go see Kongo. He's been meaning to show you a new trick he taught one of his familiars. He's also had a new shipment of familiars and..."" he leaned in and winked. ""Some of them are EXTRA fluffy."" Gently smiling, he turned and headed back out of the library, flicking the set of bells at the door with his tail as he left. Deep in her book, Rue did even recognise he'd left. Simbi looked at the mess on her desk, her guide carefully scrubbing the ink on the wood. Smiling, she crouched down and picked up the guide. Hugging it, she rested her head on top of hers and sighed. ""Thankyou little one. You're a good child."" Holding it until it hummed with delight, Simbi released it and watched it fly back to the desk, diligently moving the papers so it could scrub some more. She flipped the sign on the door from 'Open' to 'Closed', and politely asked everyone to leave for today. Rue begged for a few more hours, and Simbi just let her take the book. Standing in the door of her library, watching her gloomwillow guide work on her darkening chances of a new body, a bolder body, Simbi sighed and shook tempting thoughts out of her mind. A new body wouldn't fix her mental issues. Simbi turned around and headed in the direction of the zoo, and her gentle mate, and his new fluffy familiars. And in her library, a coatl walked up, sorted through the pile on her desk, and took the blackened papers, without the guide even noticing. Rue looked up, saw the tail disappear out the door and thought nothing of it.
