"Things weigh heavily on my soul, sometimes. I think that's just the kind of person I am- I care very deeply about my reputation- how others think of me, and how I think of myself." Baron always knew he'd work with plants. His father and mother were both farmers, so it was inevitable that he would be too. Nature magic never came easily to him, though, because of where he was born. He was deemed a disappointment by his father and instead took to tailoring for the rest of the nature clan he was born into. Baron's strong sense of style came from the many years he spent sewing and tailoring for his whole clan, and he soon learned to love his position in the clan. He always did wish to learn more nature magic, but he'd always just assumed that wasn't in the cards for him. Baron's father was such an accomplished magic user, that it wasn't too long before he ended up as the leader of the small Nature clan where he and his family had made his home. Even as the leader's son, Baron never felt quite like he belonged in the clan because of his lack of magical ability. When he was still young, his mother passed away, and Baron soon became an isolated person, who rarely left his home. |

When Bernard, his father, found out some of the clan's elders were planning on replacing him with a newer, more talented magic user, he became a bitter man. He planned to get his revenge on those who he felt had wronged him, and quickly tricked his son into helping him. Together with Baron's help, Bernard captured many of the clan's magic users, using a magic plant of his own creation that he called Litchbriar, and eventually, Baron ended up caught in it himself. He barely held on as he was trapped, and his father's plan was only barely foiled. So Baron ran away from home. He spent ages on the sea, trying to stay as far away from the nature flight and those things that he associated with it as possible. He had a new found talent for nature magic from his time spent hooked up to other nature mages in the litchbriar, and practiced it in the smallest quantities. When he returned to the clan of his birth, now an accomplished magic user, he thought that his troubles were over- considering his father had been exiled. He was once again proven wrong when dragons in the clan started going missing from right under their noses, with no proof of who could have done it in sight. Desperate, Baron and other members of the clan decided to hire some wandering dragons to help them in their hunt. Despite his best efforts, Baron ended up caught up in the Litchbriar again, this time with Istir, one of the adventurers, by his side. The two were saved in the nick of time, and with the help of some others, ended up being able to defeat Bernard by the skin of their teeth. |

After his father's defeat, Baron found that he couldn't stay in his small home and went to travel again, this time with Istir, who had saved his life during that final fight. The two became thick as thieves, and decided to settle down in the Starfall Isles together. It wasn't too long before the two of them fell in love, and though they live in different dragon lairs, they're close enough to visit. Baron settled down in the Clan of the Misty Moon, working the land there to help provide food for the clan and to sell, as well as still making clothes when he has time. He learned of the clan from Aero, who he met while he was living on the high seas. Baron can work with nature magic without feeling fear, now, and has never been happier in his entire life. Though his reserved nature has followed him from earlier in his life, Baron is now a well put together individual. Baron is a bit uptight, and can be easily bothered by even the smallest of things. He's a natural leader, who does his best to help others when they're in a bind, and helps to keep track of documents for the clan. He's a kind person at heart-- he can be found growing a clan member's favorite flowers when they've had a long day or stitching up the hole in a hatchling's favorite toy. A skilled worker and a good friend, Baron is always a delight to have around the clan. |

Hyacinth is Baron's dear familiar, who helps him in the garden and takes care of rats. having a cat around is always nice, and having a cat who can help with druidic work is even nicer. Floracats are great at finding plants that need a bit of extra care, and ensures that all of Baron's crops and his personal garden are in tip top shape. He helps to keep him warm at night when Istir is off elsewhere, as well. |

Family & Friends

Istir is Baron's husband and dearest companion. The two can often be found curled up together in Baron's garden, talking happily among the plants. They were left to die together, once, in the Litchbriar, and now they always have one another's backs. Istir's sweet and charismatic personality complements Baron's more reserved nature well, and the two are always a delight to be around. Baron's absolutely smitten with Istir, and can't imagine another dragon who could make him happier. |

One of the adventurers who helped to rescue Baron when he was trapped in the Litchbriar, Dryan and Baron became fast friends. Another non-nature born dragon who excels in nature magic, the two can often be found working together with plants, when they cross paths, and keep in contact through letters with frequency. Despite their occasional disagreements about different types of plants, the two are good friends, and have put together several lovely gardens together in the past. |
