Bill will tell anyone who listens that he is a heartless monster with a tongue even sharper than his teeth, but this demon is not what he seems. The Guardian of Mason "Dipper" Pines, he cares about his young charge so totally, so completely, that he once fought death itself to get him back. The demon is a shapeshifter, a magician, ready to delight and fascinate his young Charge, whose curiosity he adores. The fiercely protective dragon, once feared, now craves love and total acceptance. And he finally has his family. He does, however, have one other mission besides protecting his Charge. Broken heartstones. Bill was never a Guardian dragon, but he feels the same pull inside that the watery behemoths do. And he has a small shrine at the site that once was his boy's deathbed. It is covered, completely, with the small reddish pebbles. Whenever the wildclaw finds a displaced heartstone and cannot find its proper resting place, he carries it back to the once-grave and keeps it there. A final chance to prevent death indeed, and also a place that says 'you will see your Charge again.' Any stone representing a lost soul would do well to end up here, if it couldn't be returned to its proper place. Mason, the Charge who was lost and found again, symbol of hope. Bill is not as warm to other dragons, but to his family he represents all the love and protection in the world |
