A Prince of the Cloud's Shadows
Nacreous decided to write about his time in the Solar Cell lair.
Day 1:
It is very lively here, I have run into many hatchlings only one I'm older than. Yes! Apparently, two imperials are related to Karasu. Hehe, should I tell them his secret? That's a conversation starter. They really need to look out for their treasure round here. Bags are easy to bite through hehe. Got the money, Grandma Raven. Lavender's getting suspicious whoops. Did I take too much? Ha! Never!
Day 2:
I talked to Jewel, the treasure keeper, today. Apparently there's been a "miscalculation" of treasure, I said she was just overworked and should take a break for the holidays. Must of worked cause now the suspicions have been dropped. In other news I had turtle soup only it was Chip's pet. I think I'll be hiding in the shrubs today.
Day 3:
I woke up in the middle night to see that weird imperial that always sneaks off to CrowTalon Charlie or something. He was mumbling to himself like he was madly in love, whatever that means, he said something along the lines of Wisp or Willow. Man, I hope he doesn't mean that nocturne who can't have a mate. Well, at least he can't reform me for dominance while he's away!
Day 4:
That weird imperial has come back and according to my nocturne friend ,Rudy(my nickname for him) the clan says he got totally rejected and is all the other imperials can laugh about. In other news, pumpkin seeds seem of the menu for any dragon while that imperial Char-Char is eating away his sorrows which I think is rather odd as a while back he told me "Dragons are tough and NEVER SHED TEARS!"
Day 5:
A new Nocturne has showed up today and from my home flight too, which is good cuz the other nocturne was starting to weird me out. He thinks he's an Imperial! All he does is wear antlers all day and jump into imperials conversations. I know Nocturnes mimic and alll but I thought that was just words and attitudes. Now as long as she doesn't mimic him I think I'm good. At least if she does, I grow up tomorrow and can run or fly to freedom. :)
Day 6:
I am finally grown up and can finally get around without a caretaker taking me back to the nests. Now that I'm grown, the first thing I'm going to do is explore. I stopped by the kitchen, they were baking cookies. I looked out the window and saw some of my old nest buds making snow dragons. So I did what any dragon would do, I ambushed them with snowballs until Rudolph's familiar charged and I didn't want to get blamed for eating any more familiars. RIP Chip's turtle. So i ran back through the kitchen and took the cookies to go. I was about to walk back to give some to my nest buds as a peace offering till I heard angry voices and skedaddled. If there's o e thing I did end up learning that cinnamon cookies are my favorite!
Day 7:
More Nocturnes have showed up, will it never end. Another one named Balthazar. Charcoal concerns me though, he might try to teach them the long lectures on dominance he has for every hatchling. If they look entertained the caretakers won't make them cookies! As long as the Caretakers make Christmas cookies for them I'm alright. How does one distract that imperial?
Day 8:
Today is Christmas Eve and everyone is bustling around working to set up Tonight's dinner. There's going to be dishes for all; however familiars will be staying close to their partners. Something about me eating one, again RIP Chip's turtle. So today I decided to be festive and wear this woolly, very itchy sweater, actually my home clan sent it just got to wear it till Christmas Morning. Joy.
Day 11:
Now I know this isn't chronological order but to be honest after Christmas Eve's dinner I've been in a food coma. I was so tired from following the Nocturnes and eating turkey I think I fell asleep till now. In fact, I woke up wearing this crown with a little note attached from a SECRET SANTA! Oddly it smelt of the underground caves I was born in with a hint of peppermint! On another note I finally get to take off this sweater. :)
Day 25:
Today a heat wave is making its way through the forest. How'd I know? Cuz half-melted, freezing-cold snow just fell on my back as I ran by. In more just cold related news, I think that Guardian, Cupid, is messing with everyone into making them become"proper parents." This now means me and some Skydancer have to watch a nest while the Caretakers go on vacation and then judge us on the job that they refuse to do. Apparently there's been a feud with them and the Tricksters, and now they're on strike. So now my family is going to be all "ROYAL BLOOD" all up in my face. Just as long as it gets me away from Nocturne city, I'll be fine.
Day 26:
So I'm still guarding a bunch of non-moving organic seed-looking eggs. Honestly, what happened to the ones that glow?!? The weirder part is that my familiar keeps judging on my "nest skills" constantly giving me that disapproving look as it circles the nest 24/7, which Rudolph only makes weirder by saying if my Silver Springbok feels lonely then it can hang out with him. I don't think he gets the bonding thing and that I'm a day ahead. Then again he thinks he's an imperial which is all I'd be able to write about for entries 12-24, and I thought I'd spare anyone reading this that. I hope he stays out of Fae Football or some faes are going to have a weird time riding a miniature imperial.
Day 27:
Today, I finally get my own team to battle with in the coliseum. Apparently, with a growing clan, comes a necessity to have trained warriors. However, some of the warriors refuse to be in certain training groups because of their parents being tricksters or caretakers with this "feud" going around. But I finally get out of the Nocturne neighborhood so all is great. After reaching level 13 in their exams -and having another mission to attend- they are finally letting the next battlers into the field. Luckily, I got placed in an all mirror group. I especially like this group cuz they gened themselves with smirch, one given to her by my home clan.
I hope Raven will like my experience when I return.
Day 28:
It seems that the Caretakers are really taking this strike seriously. Unfortunaely even the clan's leaders are still trying to straighten this whole mess out which the two groups aren't helping with as they constantly start bickering the moment they sense each others' presence. I think this who thing has gotten too rowdy which is why I'm glad I'm out battling in the forest. However, I think going to have to hire a house sitter as this feud gives Builders more jobs to do. I don't know who I feel more bad for, the Caretakers or the Tricksters. As long as no dragon touches my stuff they'll keep their their left shoes.
Day 29:
At long last my adventures in Solar Cell have come to an end. However, if I've learned anything from Charcoal, it's really easy to sneak one's way back and forth. As for my Nocturne neighbors, I think they'll miss trying to steal my familiar, what is with them and antlers?!? On the bright side my "not" kids hatched but think me and the skydancer are their parents. The only one that seems to behave is Calvus, but if what Olive says about him is true, he will be playing pranks on everyone by tomorrow. On another note she's says that the feud is finally cooling down because of if a caretaker taking care of a Trickster, so I can finally stop locking all my doors at night! I'm still missing my fine china!
Day 30:
I've finally returned home to my home at Crowtalon. Got to remember, flashlights are bad to use in a cave that has no light what so ever. Seeing my family is great again and I'm a pretty good battler too, considering there's a lot of lvl ones haha! When I finally got settled back home I heard a familiar voice and saw Charcoal and Calvus together, apparently Charcoal is teaching Calvus the art of hitting on Crowtalions. That lesson ended quickly as a new Imperial ,Tinsel, slapped him across the face, which was immediately followed by Calvus laughing, both at Charcoal and smashing a garden gnome. It just had to be mine! Well I guess Solar Cell will never leave me! :3
