"Keep looking forward," No one is quite sure what Eclipsa is, exactly. She's certainly the shape of a coatl, she laughs, eats, sleeps, and she quite likes to be called a "she" or by her name. Eclipsa herself is likely the least concerned with the fact that she's unidentifiable as a pure dragon. She likes to focus on other things; Her stuffed animal hospital, what the meal will be for dinner, or how much sleep she can get in before the shift manager notices. Eclipsa is quite friendly and is well-liked by many a dragon for her odd sense of humor, but none are quite as taken with her as her partner-in-crime Artemis. The nickname stuck to the two almost instantly because unlike the name implies, it's hard to imagine either Eclipsa or Artemis committing anything close to being called a crime. The pair is quite close, although it's plain to almost everyone that Artemis has feelings that go deeper for Eclipsa than she has for him. He told her long ago some tale about a statue pulled up from the sea, and sold at a high price. How the statue came to life and befriended him, and in the chaos of the uprising in his clan, even saved his life. Artemis tells this story as though it is about her, and though she's not quite sure she humors him. He used to often reference things they did together in the past, but he does so much less as time goes on. It's hard to believe something about you when you don't remember doing it, but Eclipsa has some belief in the tale. She constantly wears her collar to hide it, but there is a dent there; A part of her was stuck and likely went missing. The gap is sharp and shiny, as if a crystal were broken there rather than flesh and scale. What happened matters less the more time she spends in Shenani Clan. Eclipsa has noticed Artemis trying his best to make every day exciting for her. He always likes to bring her somewhere new, introduce her to a new dragon, or cook something she's never eaten before, as if he wants to create as many new memories as possible for her in this place. While she loves the entertainment, she makes an effort to surprise him too. She loves to see him naturally and genuinely happy, which is something he seems to have trouble with. Her job fishing for the clan keeps her busy in the mornings and afternoons, but she loves delivering her catches. Padgett loves to include some of the sea glass in his creations when Ankaa doesn't steal it for her jewelry. Relics are brought to Oresith if they're not intercepted by Cote first. Eclipsa loves to make dragons happy and this is one small way she does it. The other way is by repairing favored stuffed toys of the hatchlings... Though her talent has earned her business from dragons of all ages. Her craft has become somewhat sought over, and she even receives mail-in dolls to fix. She takes delight in snipping away worn fabric and replacing it with new, mending broken stitches and eyes, putting everything back into place. Even though it's just a stuffed animal, she feels like she's helped someone, and that's her favorite feeling of all. |
