Casimir was hatched in the Silence clan. His egg was taken from feral Harpies by the Clan's warriors. With no trace of his parents or original clan, they brought the egg home. He hatched not long after, and it was then clear that he was mute. Whether it was genetically, or an effect of the magic power residing in the lair, is unknown. Yet Casimir's muteness was seen as a blessing, and he was raised to be part of the Clan.
Several dragons questioned this decision made by the leaders, as it soon became clear that Casimir had an uncanny fascination with music. The otherwise quiet halls of the castle became filled with tones and notes of whatever instrument the young dragon got his claws on. Many found this to be an intrusion to the old order. Bordering heresy against clan traditions. But others found the music soothing - a pleasant new addition to the otherwise solemn place.

While he was still quite young, something odd happened. The Tidelord went silent, and the entire Flight waited with bated breath. That day, Casimir lost his taste for music. The tones went quiet, the sound not the same to his ears. Eventually, he quit music. Instead, he became intent on helping the clan, with the many strange occurrences that happened in the wake of the disaster. He began visiting the library, where he found a new passion for poems and verse. He now writes his own, but while talented, he is very shy about his work. One can find him lingering in the empty halls of the castle, secretly writing words of songs and poetry that he'll never be able to speak.
