Dahl

Captain Hieronymus Dahl was once a name many a merchant feared to speak, for fear of jinxing his presence into existence. A notorious buccaneer, this Fae was a wizard of renown, controlling the gales of the ocean with naught but spoken word.

Now, his spirit of despair is all that remains. His shipwreck--known as 'Dahl's Folly'--is a kilometer off the coast of Gale-Coves Water border and is technically on the territory. Legend has it that the Captain's crew had stolen an artifact from an exploration vessel originating from the Lightlands.

This 'Artifact', they realized too late, was a jar of sealed Shade--the researchers had been bringing it home to study how it had been contained. It wasn't long before the entire crew had been infected by The Shade. Twas only by the grace of his size and his skills in flight and gust manipulation that he was able to escape the same fate. But, rather than escape the ship itself, he summoned a gale of monstrous proportions and sank his one true love, staying to ensure the deed was done and the evil supressed...

Some say the enraged howls of the Shade-touched can still be heard, if you dip your head beneath the waves during the full moon. Some say the Captain will never find peace until someone puts the shells of his beloved crew to their final rest.
