Feigr may have once been a dragon, but he is now best described as a mythically titanic embodiment of Shade magic, recently awoken from centuries of slumber deep within a prison of his own making. Far from a mindless beast, he now has a chance to retrieve something very precious to him—a fragment of himself that loosely chains him to the mortal plane.
Somehow, that fragment wound up in the posession of a foolhardy thief. In time, perhaps Feigr can bring ungodly cataclysm upon the earth once more.

By the by, a certain centuries-old, unliving Pearlcatcher happens to have some very intimate knowledge of Feigr's past life—not that he's happy to share it, of course.



Feigr is far from alone in his eternal torment. He is joined by countless other dragons, all in varying states of madness and decay. They exhibit the same heinous warping as he, so much so that they could hardly be recognized. Most meld together and form unimaginable abominations. Of course, the lost souls are none-too-happy about their containment, but few retain enough of their mental faculties to do more than blindly wander the dark wasteland.

Though Feigr committed a series of horrific acts that consigned him to his fate, his "companions" did nothing of the sort. A long, long time ago, there just so happened to be a little clan in the wrong place at the worst possible time.
