A quiet coatl, Erin can be found on the outskirts of town, diligently tending to his garden. Maintaining the myriad crops he cares for in a place with affinities for the elements of both shadow and earth can be a struggle, but careful notes and a methodical approach over the years have taught him which varieties thrive in the midst of such a confluence and which struggle. Recently, he has begun experimenting with some varieties native to the Sunbeam Ruins, using the careful application of his own elemental magic to heavily warded pots to recreate the environment they like best.

Such care towards his plants generally yields good results, and Erin is happy to share his bounty with all. At harvest time, villagers and even visitors to the inn find they leave town with a jar of strawberry-raspberry jam, or an armful of squash. His burgeoning knowledge of herbcraft means that he’s begun to act as the apothecary in town, tending to the minor aches and pains of the villagers. Some nights he wakes up, trapped in old memories, but now he can turn to canning and salve-making to soothe himself and his neighbors.

Flavia
Erin and Flavia have an uneasy friendship born out of their shared childhood experience. As such, when Flavia has a brief stop in Tenebris Grove with the rest of Oenone’s caravan, she makes a point of dropping by Erin’s gardens on the edge of town. They have stilted, overly formal exchanges, remnants of the way they grew up, and even Erin’s quietly charming nature can’t get conversation to flow more smoothly. Nevertheless, Erin understands Flavia better than even Antra, and Flavia understands Erin better than even Ellis at times. It’s why she keeps coming back, and why Erin keeps letting her in - kinship.

Ellis and Erin have a quiet relationship that is curiously opaque to others. Questions from outsiders and villagers alike all get the same response from Erin - “Ellis is my companion, and I his, and that’s all there is to know.” The devotion and fondness the pair share for each other is clear in their every action.
