Celandine was born of Astghik, a representative of the light flight who dwelt within clan Tuath Dé of Arcane. Privy to the secrets and wonderment of both knowledge and magic, Cela lived a fairy tale every day of her life. She found no wonderment in the acts of grandeur because she had seen them time and time again.

When she grew older and began to ponder thoughts of the future, it seemed to her Arcane was not the home she longed for. The magic and tomes did not bring the same spark or joy that as it did for her mothers or others of her clan. So she set off in search of a wonder that would fill her heart and her mind with the awe.

It was in no lush garden or mystical hideaway that she found her home, but rather the crumbling dust on the outskirts of The Shattered Plains. There dwelt none but two others, a mighty Guardian and a small Mirror. Within their eyes was the wonderment she sought, and with them, she began to cultivate her own. They were in need of guidance and she had sat upon the sides of the greatest minds in Arcane, once upon a time. She held no aspirations for such greatness, but was confident in her ability to lead.

Cela took on the mantle of leader and Era pledged loyalty unending, in service and care. The Pearlcatcher knew of the phenomena of 'The Call' and 'The Charge' of a Guardian. With Era she grew to better understand the intricacies of the relationship between Guardian and Charge, having long believed it to be something of a romantic soul mate she learned that this, while in part, might be true, there was no aspect of romance between herself and Era, who had taken the Mirror, Rythik, as her life partner in that regard.
