He found his way to the Mirror Light Promenade after leaving the Windswept Plateau for a grand adventure, hoping to catalog all of the flora and fauna of Sornieth. He originally intended to stay for a bit and pass through, but he met another wanderer, Juno, who was hatched in the Shifting Expanse but could never be satisfied staying in one place. They settled for a bit in the outskirts of the lair, and raised their hatchlings. Shortly after Kalyn and Della were born, however, Juno decided that the clan was not for her, and left to fight for the lightweaver with the two youngest hatchlings.

He is content in his role, and started a garden for the clan just outside the lair.

With the threat of the Emporer bearing down upon Kelsier's homeland, he suggested a move, temporary or permanent, to his ancestral home on the Windswept Plateau. Kelsier eventually took a liking to the Cloudsong, and has decided to stay even after the emperor is dealt with.
