Cornucopia

As you continue on, you come to a beautifully colored Imperial who is currently behind an easel and her colors remind you of Fall. As she continues to paint away, she finally notices you standing there, and smiles warmly, sets her brush down, and after wiping a hand on a paper towel, introduces herself...

Give a lovely hello to Cornucopia, the clan's Agricultural Overseer, and one of the most beautiful Imperials in the clan :)


I was inspired for her name because, to me, she just looks like the colors of pumpkins, eggplants, grapes, gourds, and just reminded me of the colors of Fall altogether, so I felt like I couldn't just pick one name or name her just 'pumpkin' since she also had the purple and green colors, so since a cornucopia has all of that, Cornucopia it was! ^^)

Cornucopia is a sweet, kind, understanding Dragon who tries to see the best in others and believes that not all Dragons are bad and that everyone deserves a second chance. She has a quiet nature, and is a bit toned down than most, and is not super exuberant as some, but as also a very, happy content Dragon. Outside of motherhood and her Role, she has found that she's very good at art and enjoys drawing and painting in her free time, and also arting with some of the other artistically inclined Dragons in the clan, and will also sometimes teach an art class or two at her mom's school. Speaking of, she was one of the first Dragons in the newly formed clan to attend her mom's school, and that was back before it was the building it is today, when it was still in a tent that was slowly being turned into a building with the help of her dad and Valen. Then Pietro arrived, and everyone found he was quite skilled with a hammer, and that helped the building of the schoolhouse go along quite fast and smoothly and make it become the building it is today. Of course, as you might suspect, with being the teacher's daughter and all, you might think that Cornucopia got treated differently, but Erigore promised her daughter and her son when they enrolled in her new school "No special treatment." And, she held them to that and put her children through the same courses that she puts all the other hatchlings through, and both children passed and graduated her courses with top marks and flying colors :) Although Cornucopia probably had better grades in art and Home Ec, seeing as how she loves art and what her Role is... She was raised in the ways of the SkyWings clan and even though she knows her parents were not, she often feels as though they've done an outstanding job of holding up the clan's attributes and laws and definitely feels like this place is home. And though she enjoys hearing their stories of their lives before this clan, she's glad they came here, loves this place and wouldn't want to be anywhere else :)


In the small clan, when she was growing up, she found there was not much in the way of love, even though a Fae named Autumn told her he liked her, but unfortunately, she didn't have the same feelings for him and could never picture herself with him. Dismayed at that, he went on with life, and so did she, but she never gave up hope of one day being wed to someone & having a mate. Well, Cascade/I didn't forget about her, and that day came when Pietro was bought & brought into the clan and met everyone and instantly fell head over claws (heels) in love with and was instantly smitten with this beautiful Imperial... and even though Cornucopia doesn't want to admit it, she was also attracted to him the second she laid eyes on him, but his odd personality and observant/perceiving ways were somewhat of a turn-off for her, and she didn't really let him get close and actually kept pushing him away every time he tried to... But one day, when he finally came forward and professed his feelings, she finally relented and got curious about it all and wondered where a relationship with him would lead.... and both discovered after many dates and wonderful times of getting to know each other, it lead to wedding bells and a while thereafter, a nest and their den being full of bouncing baby Dragons, 3 sons that were nicknamed Team Saffron because of their genetics, where all 3 had the same primary gene: Saffron. After a while, it was revealed that Shavri wanted to do more with his life, so when he was Exalted, Cornucapoia was sad that their nest had gotten smaller, but also the proudest a mother could ever be that her son was serving under the Windsinger himself.
With the mishap that brought her 2 younger sisters into the world between her father & her Aunt, Cornucopia and all the parties involved knew it was an accident and a mistake, but Cornucopia is very kind and because of her personality, welcomed them in. And even though she'd already practically moved on with her life and basically all grown up with her own family & kids, she still made sure to come home & be a sister and loving to them as well.
Later on, after her other sons had started their families and found their Roles within, word had reached her that they too wanted to leave the clan. After a time of searching, however, they could find no other place that would take them in so they too left to serve Windsinger, and now all her children have been Exalted, and Cornucopia couldn't be prouder ^^) even if her home is a bit more quiet than it used to be, she still enjoys visiting with her son's children, and their children, and spending quiet days with just her & Pietro, reflecting on times past and enjoying each others' company in the present ^^)
And one day when she was battling in the Woodland Path, a Blooming Strangler decided to follow her home... and she didn't even realize it until one of her team mates pointed it out, and Quest slithered down off of her wing. Of course she freaked out, realizing there was a plant snake on her the whole time, but she calmed down once Quest told her he didn't want to harm her, he was just looking for a mate and his eyesight was so poor he thought he'd found one. They laughed at that and since he was so far from his home and Cornucopia was worn out from battle and didn't feel like going back, it was decided that Quest was to stay with her, and he's been with her ever since, and slithers behind her wherever she goes.


Cornucopia, though while trying not to, has lived up to her name and has proven to be a great fisher, hunter, gardener, insect catcher and overall procurer of all food things, so she was Appointed by Moriah as Agricultural Overseer! This means she has the responsibility of gathering and distributing food, making sure everyone is fed, and making sure food is stored properly and safely so as not to contaminate it and make the clan sick. Only one incident like that has happened when it was discovered that BlueClaw stored his asparagus next to his augite and other food items next to his alchemical reagents and Cornucopia had to step in before Aurelia was going to make a veggie stew. Everyone took it good naturedly, though, and all got a good laugh out of it.
