Kelsier was born in a small lair in the Sunbeam Ruins, and on her quest to find her charge she found Kimuri, at the time a young bogsneak hatchling. The two settled in Kelsier's birthplace in the Sunbeam Ruins, and while she had been prepared to search far and wide for a charge, she had never expected to find it in her former home.

She is kind and cares deeply for others. Every young dragon who finds their way to the lair she carved out finds a home or just a nice place to stay during their travels. Quite a few dragons have come intending to pass through and fell in love with the homey atmosphere.

Recently, Tyr persuaded her to move the clan back to his home in the Windswept Plateau. An errant spell from by one of the younger members of the clan caused her to be changed from a guardian to a skydancer, much to everyone's surprise. She believes it to be a blessing from the Lightweaver. Her guardian instincts are still fully intact, but now she has the powers of a skydancer to boot, making her even better at helping travellers feel comfortable in her home.
