After hearing about the academy and it's rapidly accelerating development, elders of the Beacon of the Radiant Eye were keen to send an Ambassador for the light flight. However, they did not call ahead to say that ambassador would be bringing his apprentice as well.

Not much is known about him, except that initial fears of the big imperial were proven to be unfounded. He is quiet, and to all appearances sulky, and is struggling to learn from Penrose and the other professors. Though Penrose wishes he would have more of an affinity for philosophy, his secret interest in botany is not unwelcome.
