______ "Why can't you be more like your sister?" That was all everyone would always say to her. That was all she'd hear, and she was tired of it. Ever since she hatched, Nadina was being compared to Leilani like it were some sort of contest. Leilani was a star, everyone loved her. Leilani was the heir, the first-born, so obviously it was natural. Nadina was just her little sister. Forced to live in her older sister's shadow, she began to dislike her, even if it wasn't her fault. It only maddened her further when her sister was loving to her, she was just too nice. Nobody could hate her, and that's what made her all the more infuriating. Leilani was always better than her; prettier, smarter, and kinder. Nadina tried to be more like her, she really did, but it's hard to pretend like none of it ever hurt her. She became bitter and spent most of her time away from home, in the forest. In some aspects, she was like Leilani, but they liked nature for different reasons. Nadina began hunting to pass the time and feed the clan, and to maybe make her parents prouder. Eventually, she grew up and got exceptionally skilled at it, so much so that her parents gave her the role of head huntress. It pleased her greatly, and felt satisfied that she was finally unique and different.

______ In the end, Nadina mended her relationship with her sister after finding peace herself. Fixing it didn't change her basic personality traits however, she can still be rude, sassy, brusque, and ferocious. Still, Nadina did soften a little and is now friendlier towards others. She even befriended Ignia, though Leilani found this annoying. Later, she also befriended a witch named Klyph, who later became her lover because of their similar interests in nature.
Even so, her best friend will always be her hyena. On one of her hunting trips, she found him wounded, and instead of swiftly ending his life, she healed him. The hyena, now named Ferox, remained loyal to her, and is now her hunting companion.
