Hrothgar

Hailing from the Scarred Wasteland, Hrothgar earned his name by ascending the ridge of the Wyrmwound not a single day after his hatching, and watched in meditation until grown to maturity. On the back of the Riot of Rot, he set out as emissary of the Plaguebringer, embodying the strength and wrath of her Lordship against any foe he came across in his travels. His parents resistance to his ambitions instilled a sense of loathing that drove him forward.

With intent to gain the honour of Harbinger of Plague, he desired a foreign clan who could match him in strength, in order that he could gain virtue through a mutual alliance. One such alliance dawned as he was meditating in the Shifting Expanse, a brief respite before intent to hunt in the Sunbeam Ruins. A female Guardian discovered him close to her lair, and she fought the intruder with unrivalled fervour for the protection of her children. In spite of his triumphs in the Ashfall Wastes, his style was chaotic, ultimately allowing the Guardian to best him.

Sensing the opportunity, and experiencing a parental bond that he had never known, he offered to join the Guardian and her clan. In spite of his zealousness, seeing the bond between the Guardians Alfoed and Joero, their children, and outsiders, began to temper him into a fierce warrior that Alfoed would come to acknowledge as his Claw.
