The Broken
A scream. A deafening crack. The next thing Shatter knew, he was lying on a surface so cold it bit into his shimmering scales. He had been curled up a moment ago, safe within the coziness of his egg.

Then, suddenly, he had no longer been inside it. He had been sonwhere else. Somewhere foreign and new.

The scream, a noise he could only describe as blinding, bright, still rang out above him, accompanied now by gasps of shock, the clacking of sharpened claws on an deafening surface. His sight was blurry, everything swam. Shatter was dimly aware of two see-through sheets at his sides, pulsing with a familiar heat and warmth that was recognisable, yet completely strange to him.

Shatter blinked slowly as the ground disappeared from below him and something else appeared beneath his body. He caught another blinding flash of an almost galaxy like pink as again his vision spiralled. He had no idea what was happening. Everything was terrifying, yet he couldn't move, couldn't react.

"You dropped it! How could you! His...... Great IceWarden! His wings.... they've shattered." The voice was erratic, equally horrified and curious. SkyShatter was immediately put off by the high pitch of it, the squeakiness burned his ears.

A thousand scents hit his nostrils. Cold. Heat and warmth. Blueness, a scent he couldn't quite name. Something plant like, too.

Another voice chimed in, this one deeper and more authorative than the last. "SHATTERED? What do you mean shattered?" The words were swift, jammed together and unintelligible to the hatchling. He could only listen as sounds of anguish and horror filled the air around him.
