Carmeli

Life is good, with her spooky storybooks and mith doll. Carmeli likes walking around the nest with tottering hatchling-steps, digging her claws into the soft bedding and peering over the sides. She likes it when Dad comes by and nuzzles them, or when Mom gives her tongue baths. She just wishes her brother would stop bullying her. He's so much bigger and stronger, all she can do is try to squirm away and hope Uncle Bahram will see in time to pull them apart.
Nobody else seems to notice, or care, about how much dirt and dust the lair accumulates! Shade, their resident plague dragon Xara actually revels in it! It's all so filthy, and it gets in her fur. Carmeli spends a lot of her time brushing up and tidying the lair, sweeping the dust and detritus out to be taken away by the Driftwood Drag's river. Whenever she's not busy sweeping up she's finding some other way to keep busy; preening her wings, helping her clanmates with their own duties. She maintains good relations with everyone, especially her parents. Her brother was so awkward before he left. She just hopes he understands she's forgiven him.
With Tallulah and Ashoun both helping her, keeping the new lair clean is almost easy. Mom and Melosa even approved her request to spend some of the hoard's treasure trading for cleaning materials like brooms and magically-replenishing soap.

It's wonderful and cleansing to have those things around. Like it clears her head of all the awful stuff she constantly has to put up with. Especially Xara. Ugh. Carmeli understands she's a plague dragon, but would it kill her to at least try to clean up after herself?!
