Biography
Mate: Rubilax
Discovery
Claws flew, slashing through water and carving through flesh. The battle ended, letting Periwinkle and Netherwind - along with Arzi, training with them - catch their breath and mend their wounds. It was difficult, given they were padding along the bottom of the sea, but the blessed bubble of air around them was all they needed. The trio of maren warriors, brutally battered by the dragons, had long ago fled to lick their wounds. It was then that Periwinkle thought she saw something, drifting against a frond of kelp.
It was a dragon egg. Lightning by the looks of it; it had the texture and transparency of glass, and in the center the tiny embryo of a dragon, curled into a ball, floated and discharged painfully bright arcs of electricity. Periwinkle, having no trouble looking at bright lights, took the egg and placed it into her satchel. With a nod to her mate and daughter, they made haste back to the clan.
Once back they, just like when Tallulah's egg was found, gave it to Bahram post haste. Just like with Tallulah's the egg was about ready to hatch; it was a miracle those maren hadn't destroyed it. And from it came a keening, deep blue guardian boy, looking around curiously.
Hatchlinghood
Capacaron found himself in the same nest as Tallulah, just the two of them. Every now and then her brothers came by to visit, but mostly it was just the two of them, reading and playing happily. Though he did have to be careful with her due to their size difference, nothing made Tallulah shriek happier than when he carried her around on his horns.
Unlike her, Capacaron understands perfectly the situation about his parents; his egg was lost from them, likely stolen, and the members of this clan had saved him. He doesn't have the heart to tell his friend, though. He's happy just playing and reading with her, would-be parents be darned.
Lesser Lair
Now that he's grown up, it's time for him to give back to the clan that saved his life. They were bringing in almost more food than they could eat; every day he curled up in his nest, sated and belly full. But that also meant he wasn't really needed to hunt, fish, gather or forage.
So, that left him to guard. He spends his times training under the founders' son Ialion, learning how to put his guardian bulk and durability to use in bodyguarding more fragile dragons. It's hard, tiring and painful work, but he bears it all with pride; the clan is his charge, after all, and he will give them the same protection they have given him.
Mighty Lair
All his training, it seems, is going to pay off quite handily. While his mentor Ialion is out, Capacaron had much to do, guarding the gathering parties as they forage and hunt for food. The Wispwillow Grove is absolutely menacing to a non-shadow dragon like him; whispers flit about in the mists, and the light of the mushrooms is never, ever enough.
There are more than enough creatures for him to ward off. Haunting animals of dark color and glowing eyes. Centaur bowmen and talonok reapers. But while he is certainly not the largest of guardians, he is quick on his paws and lethal with his talons and lightning. This is something he is good at.
